This year marks another milestone for Strictly Business Magazines—32 incredible years serving the Lincoln community and 17 years in Omaha. It's hard to put into words just how grateful I am for the journey we've taken and the people who have made it so rewarding. What started as a simple idea to support local businesses has grown into something much more meaningful: a trusted platform where professionals, entrepreneurs, and organizations can share their stories, amplify their expertise, and build long-lasting credibility.
More than 50 clients have trusted us for over a decade—and even one since our very first issue. That kind of loyalty speaks volumes. It’s a reflection not only of our commitment to consistent, quality content marketing, but also the strong partnerships we've built. To all our clients, advertisers, readers, and friends—you have helped shape who we are today, and I can’t thank you enough.
I also want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible team behind the scenes. To the remarkable employees who've helped us—and our clients—achieve their best, thank you. Your creativity, dedication, and passion for excellence make this magazine possible month after month. Every layout, every article, every interaction with a client reflects your effort and pride in what we do.
One thing that has never changed over the years is our mission: to help local businesses grow by offering display advertisements and unmatched content marketing support both in print and online. From feature stories and cover profiles to press releases to client spotlights and Star City/ River City Six profiles—we provide thousands of dollars in free content marketing services to our clients because we believe in the power of visibility and credibility. And now, more than ever, our reach extends across social media and search engines, bringing your story to life in ways we couldn’t have imagined 30 years ago.
So, as we look ahead to the future, we remain just as committed as ever to helping you succeed. Whether you're a business owner, nonprofit leader, or marketing professional, we are here to help you tell your story, grow your audience, and stand out in a competitive world as the expert.
Readers, whenever you visit with one of our advertisers, please be sure to tell them “I saw you in Strictly Business Magazine.” Thank you!
Here’s to the past, present, and future of Strictly Business—and to your continued success.
Warmly,
Paige Zutavern President, Strictly

VisionSync, an Omaha-based business strategy software platform, proudly announces its partnership with the Greater Omaha Chamber, joining the entire University of Nebraska system in leveraging VisionSync’s powerful capabilities.
VisionSync empowers leadership and staff across businesses, higher education, and nonprofit organizations. The platform bridges the critical strategy execution gap by transforming static plans into measurable outcomes. Organizations centralize their strategy with real-time heat maps, streamlined alerts, and automated progress tracking reminders that eliminate scattered spreadsheets and manual status collection.
“Most organizations rely on Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, and SharePoint folders to manage progress tracking, tools never designed for long-term strategic execution or reporting,” said Taylor Korensky, VisionSync CEO. “Born from nearly a decade of real-world use at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, VisionSync was designed to solve the problems that plan administrators actually experience, endless status meetings, disconnected spreadsheets, inconsistent reports, and initiatives that drift off track. The platform provides transparency and accountability, allowing all stakeholders to see how their daily work connects to organizational goals.”
For forward thinking organizations like the Greater Omaha Chamber, which values strategic management and clear accountability, VisionSync has proven exceptionally effective. The platform doesn’t just manage strategic plans, it ensures they are achieved through more efficient execution and data-driven decision making.

The Empowerment Network has announced its ambitious “Transformation 2030” initiative, a community-wide plan to foster economic growth, educational opportunity, and safety throughout Omaha.
Originally launched as Transformation 2025, the initiative has been updated for 2030 to complete the journey from recovery to economic revitalization. With measurable progress already achieved in multiple areas before the pandemic, Transformation 2030 aims to finish the job with ambitious goals across education, employment, housing, health, and community development.
Since its founding in 2007, Empowerment Network and its partners have been one of the primary catalysts for over $1 billion in reinvestment into historically underserved areas. They’ve also seen measurable gains in African American high school graduation rates, homeownership, and job creation. With Transformation 2030, the goal is to expand these outcomes by increasing household income, boosting business and homeownership, and improving health outcomes.
Rooted in a data-informed and community-driven approach, Transformation 2030 includes a continued focus on six core areas: education, employment, entrepreneurship, housing, violence prevention, and health. Specific goals include:
• Creating 1,000 new jobs
• Adding 3,000 to 5,000 new housing units
• Supporting the development of 250 additional businesses with employees
As an organization dedicated to building safe and thriving communities, Empowerment Network is also supported in part by the My Brother’s Keeper Alliance, a program of The Obama Foundation.
While Empowerment Network prepares to implement Transformation 2030, it invites all sectors of Omaha to join in this next chapter of inclusive growth, equity, and opportunity.

The University of Nebraska Board of Regents on Thursday approved the creation of the Diabetes Center for Excellence in Diabetes Care, Research and Education (C-DIACARE) at the University of Nebraska Medical Center Omaha campus. “The designation of this Board of Regents center unifies research and education efforts across the university system, bolstering statewide diabetes prevention and care,” said UNMC Interim Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD.
Nearly 12% of the U.S. population had diabetes as of 2021, according to the American Diabetes Association, and their health care expenses are more than double those without diabetes. Diabetes is annually among the top 10 leading causes of death in the U.S. This center brings together new groups of researchers and educators, coordinating efforts for greater impact across Nebraska, including in research funding and donor support. The new center aims to take this success statewide while connecting and coordinating the university system’s various diabetes research, education and outreach efforts into a focused, impactful force that reaches all Nebraskans.

The Greater Omaha Chamber and nonprofit AI provider Scott Data have formed a strategic partnership to make Omaha a leading hub for AI innovation. The collaboration will support local businesses, especially small, mid-sized, and startups, through AI education, technical guidance, and affordable access to advanced computing, reinforcing the Chamber’s mission to drive Omaha’s growth.
“This partnership is a bold step forward in making Omaha the premier destination in the Midwest, and the country, for AI innovation and adoption,” said Heath Mello, President & CEO of the Greater Omaha Chamber.
The initiative unites the Chamber’s economic leadership with Scott Data’s AI-ready infrastructure. Based in Omaha’s Aksarben neighborhood, Scott Data’s 110,000-square-foot Tier III data center now features high-speed AI processors available through a cost-effective colocation model, lowering barriers for businesses to adopt AI.
“We believe the Greater Omaha area has an unfair advantage in the race for AI adoption,” said Ken Moreano, President & CEO of Scott Data. “With the infrastructure, expertise, and partnerships we’ve built, Omaha is uniquely equipped to help companies start and scale their AI journey.”
Scott Data’s SEEKER platform and AI incubator will help businesses explore and adopt AI, while the Chamber will include AI readiness in its business consultations. Members will also benefit from discounted services and expert support.
“AI computing already is starting to be so important to businesses that it might be considered a basic utility. Just as the chamber touts Omaha’s electric power capacity when recruiting new businesses to the area, the city’s impressive AI assets can serve as a similar draw. We’ve got a partner in Scott Data that not only has the expertise and the infrastructure, but a willingness to lend that for the benefit of the Omaha community,” said Alec Gorynski, Senior Vice President of Economic Development for the Greater Omaha Chamber. As America transitions from remote work to a hybrid era, Yardi Cube did a study to give commuters a heads-up that Omaha records the 3rd best commute time in the nation. Commuting patterns have changed a lot since the pandemic and many jobs have been moved to remote or hybrid positions.
Here are the key stats behind Omaha’s commute time evolution since 2019:
• Omaha’s average one-way commute time of only 20 minutes ranks 3rd in the nation, the city defending its podium position from 2022
• Although Omaha records the 3rd fastest commute duration, it saw an increase of 1.1 minutes in travel time compared to 2022 (9th largest), which equals to 9.2 more hours spent in traffic per year
• Omaha deserves praise for keeping one of the top commute times since it hosts the 9th lowest number of remote workers (32,317), a pool that also saw the 12th largest decrease compared to 2022 (-15%) following the shift to hybrid work.
Nationally, the worst commutes were led by New York City, NY, where the average travel time is 40.1 minutes, followed by Chicago, IL, and Los Angeles, CA. In contrast, commuters in Tulsa, OK, spend the least amount of time on the road: 19.1 minutes.

Paper, mailing requirements, sign and apparel material options all serve different functions so will help to decide what works best for your project and how to ensure it looks great as well.
How did you get started in the business? - I love the visual arts. Going into graphic design professionally after receiving my bachelors in Graphic Design from the University of Wyoming in 2009 was a natural next step. I completed my MBA from UNO while working at our family business, Militti Sales. We worked with Snappy on our marketing projects. In 2024, we purchased Snappy. Since then we have launched a new website, opened up a second location, and upgrade equipment to improve our offerings to our customers.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? - Living and traveling overseas. I studied Mandarin in college and after I graduated I moved to China for around a half a year to set up an office there. Trying to improve my language skills, navigating a foreign country and doing it all with the goal of helping to make our family business successful was challenging. It was difficult but I loved it.
What has been your most important achievement professionally?
- I cannot pin down one thing. I’ve worked on and lead teams of people for projects in marketing, IT, logistics, and purchasing here and overseas.
Tell us a little about your family. - My wife is a strong, intelligent woman who is the mother of our two small children. We cherish and adore them. I have two loving parents and 4 siblings who have all worked together and remained close into adulthood.
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?
- Getting married and having children. Nothing is the same again after you have people who are wholly dependent on you.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? - Spend time outside or paint.
Who inspires you? - Tough one. Most of the people around me inspire me in one way or another. My father has given me the inspiration to do a lot of things I would not have had the confidence to do on my own.
If you had a theme song, what would it be? - Daft Punk Is Playing At My House – LCD Soundsystem
What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? - I am not involved with them but Community Alliance seems special to me. Their stated goal of helping those who are struggling to get back on their feet is admirable to me.
What is your favorite book or the last good book you read?Careless People: A Cautionary Tale of Power, Greed, and Lost Idealism.
If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be? - JFK

Dr. Chad Eicher MIC IMAGING & PROCEDURE CENTER
Chad Eicher, Interventional Radiologist at MIC Imaging and Procedure Center
Tell us a little about your business - MIC is a locally owned full-service patientcentered imaging and procedure center. Our diagnostic imaging services include radiography (x-ray), DEXA scans, mammography, ultrasound, CT, and MRI. We also provide a full line of Interventional Radiology services including treatments for varicose veins, uterine fibroids, plantar fasciitis, prostate enlargement, non-healing wounds, headaches, back pain, joint pain, and image guided biopsies.
How did you get started in the business? - I went to medical school to help people and to make the greatest positive impact I could in people’s lives. I chose Interventional Radiology as a specialty because it offers ways to help people in the most non-invasive manner possible, with constant new innovations in the field. As a practicing Interventional Radiologist in Omaha since 2010, I’ve often seen family members struggle to navigate the sometimes complex health system. It became clear that there was a need for an outpatient center that could provide the highest quality care in the most convenient patient friendly manner possible.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced professionally? - Like many physicians, and anyone with a busy career, the balance of professional demands and setting aside dedicated time with family and friends can be challenging. Thankfully, I have a great family, friends, and colleagues that make that possible, and understand when I fall short.
What has been your most important achievement professionally?
- The wins we attain in medicine are only accomplished with a dedicated team approach. I hope that I have been able to foster a team approach at the facilities at which I have worked, and to the extent that I have done so, I would say that has been my most important achievement.
Tell us a little about your family. - I have been married for 29 years, and we have six children - three boys and three girls - two of whom were adopted from South Korea and who range in age from 15 to 28. This past December, we were blessed with our first grandchild.
What do you see as one of the biggest turning points in your life?
- The biggest and most important decision was to get married, and shortly thereafter, start a family. The foundation and perspective provided by doing so have made everything else that followed possible. Professionally, the biggest turning point was in college when I shadowed a cardiothoracic surgeon in Lincoln, Nebraska. It was at that point that I knew I would pursue a career in medicine.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? - All things sports, whether its attending events or participating, but especially if it involves family and friends.
If you could have a super power, what would it be? - Healing
Which talent would you most like to have? - Being multilingual.
What is your favorite local Omaha restaurant? - I’d choose my wife’s home cooking over any restaurant meal – no spot can compare.

She was a nurse, journalist, and fierce member of the French Resistance during World War II, later working in intelligence. Tell us a little about your business. - The Nebraska Sports Council is a non-profit organization that puts on really cool events with a mission of providing quality competition for amateur athletes of all ages and abilities and promoting healthy and active lifestyle choices. We started with the Cornhusker State Games, but now we host 10 different events throughout the year including the Omaha and Lincoln Corporate Games; Pumpkin Run; and DiamondFest and NetFest.
How did you get started in the business? - I started as a volunteer in 1994 for the state-wide Cornhusker State Games Torch Run and fell in love with the mission. Once the passion for the organization took hold, I knew I wasn’t going anywhere else. I hung around until they finally hired me.
Tell us a little about your family. - My wife, Jami, is a former D1 basketball student-athlete and works for the UNL Athletic Department in the Business Office. We have three kids, Sidda, Jasper and Vayda and have spent a lot of time in gyms and on fields over the years. We still do and would not have it any other way.
What is your favorite thing to do on a day off? - I like to golf and watch baseball. I’m a hack at best on the course, but enjoy the social and outdoor aspects of it. I’m a Husker baseball fan, but extremely grateful Omaha hosts the B1G Baseball Tournament and College World Series.
What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? - As a 19-year-old, I worked for Union Pacific Railroad in my hometown of North Platte. I was a switchman/brakeman and put trains together and would take them to their next destination.
Who inspires you? - My coworkers. Between our President, Dave Mlnarik, Vice President of Operations, Scott Ash and myself, we have over 100 years of combined time at the Nebraska Sports Council. Their passion for our organization and what they have done to instill that passion in our Director of Operations, Ashley Kramer, and the next generation of our staff is awesome. We all learned from our predecessor, Tom Ash, and we will do our best to make sure the NSC is around forever.
What is your favorite quote or the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? - “God has granted me yet another glowing day of life. I shall live it to the fullest. I will scorch the earth and all its inhabitants with a firestorm of positive energy and goodwill.” -Uncle Ted
If you had a theme song, what would it be? - I think my walk-up song would be “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC.
If you could choose any other profession to be successful in, what would it be? - Major League Baseball Executive
What local nonprofit organization(s) are you passionate about or involved with, and are there any special reasons why? - Nebraska Sports Council (see all of the above)
What is your favorite local Omaha restaurant? - Sgt Peffer’s, the OG on Saddle Creek.

Twenty-four young Nebraskans from every corner of the state recently gathered in Norfolk to kick off a summer of uncovering the unseen assets that make their communities unique and working with local leaders to make an impact on the places they love.
As they floated down the North Fork of the Elkhorn River to end their opening retreat, Nebraska Community Foundation’s (NCF) 2025 class of Hometown Interns pondered the months of discovery that lay ahead of them.
A Hometown Intern is a current high school graduate who has spent at least six months away and lives at home for the summer. All have displayed curiosity, open-mindedness, flexibility, a desire to see their hometown through fresh eyes and a drive to contribute to the future of their community. Interns are compensated for their work through a generous gift from an anonymous donor to NCF, which is matched by their local Nebraska Community Foundation affiliated fund.
Interns also participate in Operation Discovery, a course designed to help them unleash their vision, creativity, and passion while they build relationships within their hometowns.
“Operation Discovery ignites joy, curiosity, and belonging,” said NCF Director of Asset-Based Community Development Becky Boesen. “It empowers Hometown Interns to hold up a mirror to their community, reflecting its abundance and unleashing local goodness.”
“Nebraska Community Foundation has declared 2025 the ‘Year of Invitation,’ and Hometown Internships are one of the most powerful invitations Nebraska communities can extend to their young people,” said NCF CEO and President Jeff Yost. “By offering freedom to uncover, innovate and co-create, this experience is unique in its ability to empower the next generation of Nebraska leaders while strengthening the bonds that energize the communities we love.”

Founded by Project Harmony, on Monday, July 21, National Be Someone Day challenges everyone to take ten seconds to make a difference in the life of a child.
There are so many things that can be done in ten seconds. You can order a cup of coffee or water a plant. You can hear or tell someone a bad joke. In ten seconds, you can change your mind and offer a prayer of thanks. When you walk into a room, you can register the pain in someone’s face and begin to provide comfort. You can praise and honor someone who deserves it.
“At Project Harmony, we believe that all children are someone,” says Project Harmony Chief Communications Officer Angela Roeber. “And all adults can be someone to a child. All it takes is the commitment to stop the cycle of child abuse. On National Be Someone Day, take the pledge to be the person to make a difference in a child’s life. Most importantly, be someone prepared to report when a child trusts you enough to tell you they’ve been hurt.”
Project Harmony founded National Be Someone Day to help end child abuse and bring communities together through education and awareness. To participate, drop off a donation at Project Harmony on Monday, July 21, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Take the pledge on National Be Someone Day at projectbesomeone.org, and use the #BeSomeoneDay to share on social media. It’s time to enjoy the great outdoors and warm weather. The American Red Cross wants everyone to have a safe summer and offers steps they can follow.
SWIMMING: Drowning can happen quickly and silently. Unless rescued, it could take as little as 20 to 60 seconds for a drowning person to submerge. Be “water smart” – build confidence in the water by learning to be safer.
• Prevent unsupervised access to water, provide constant and active adult supervision, and know how to swim.
• Never swim alone – adults, teens and children as well.
• Designate a “water watcher” whose sole responsibility is to keep a close eye and constant attention on everyone in and around the water
• Don’t just pack it, wear your life jacket
• In the event of an emergency, reach or throw an object to the person in trouble and tell them to grab on to it. Don’t go in! You could become a victim yourself.
GRILLING, FOOD SAFETY: Grilling sparks more than 10,000 home fires on average each year. Always supervise a barbecue grill when in use. Never grill indoors or in any enclosed area. Make sure everyone, including pets, stays away from the grill.
• Keep the grill out in the open, away from the house, deck and tree branches
• Use the long-handled tools for cooking on the grill to help keep the chef safe.
• Don’t leave food out in the hot sun. Keep perishable foods in a cooler with plenty of ice
• Separate uncooked meats, poultry and seafood from ready-to-eat foods
CAMPING: Being prepared for emergencies is critical when you’re headed to an area with limited access to phone services and help.
• Wear layers of light-weight clothing, sunscreen and a hat.

This project is a true community effort, made possible by strong partnerships with local businesses and organizations. Key partners include the City of Lincoln, Millard Lumber, METRO Community College, the Nebraska Department of Corrections, White Castle Roofing, UNL Construction and Engineering, Wellmann Plumbing and Heating, Rezac Construction, ALLO, and JEO Consulting Group. Their dedication, along with the support of generous donors and volunteers, is helping bring this vision to life.

August 2nd marks the date for the 2025 Spirit of and Courage gala held at the Mid-America Center. Since 2003, the Jennie Edmundson Foundation Spirit of Courage events have raised over $2 million to support our cancer patients. Each year four individuals are recognized as they share their remarkable stories of courage during their battle with cancer. This year’s honorees are four amazing individuals – Rich Belt, Kelly Dix, Danny Elliff and Gene Walter.
To kick off our Spirit of Courage event a celebrity golf tournament at Dodge Riverside Golf Club begins at 8:00 a.m. That evening a magnificent gala begins at 6:00 p.m.; dinner and opening remarks at 7:00 p.m. followed by the four distinguished honorees sharing their incredible stories. One hundred percent of the net proceeds raised goes to the Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital—Spirit of Courage Cancer Charitable Patient Care Fund through the JE Foundation. The funds raised are crucial in providing financial support in helping cancer patients facing financial challenges. These funds help uninsured and underinsured patients needing assistance covering expenses associated with their diagnosis and treatment of cancer by assisting with medications, treatments, and deductibles, as well as everyday living expenses such as groceries, rent, and gas are available. Without this type of support, these vulnerable members of our community would simply forgo treatment and/or medications.
The event offers a fun day of golfing, an evening filed with a wine pull, silent and oral auctions and delicious food with family and friends.
Sign up now for the golf tournament and purchase your tickets to the gala by visiting jehfoundation.org, or by calling (712) 396-6040.

Recently, United Way of the Midlands’ Military and Family Helpline (MFH) was recognized with the Innovation Award –Cooperative Relationships by InformUSA. Presented annually, the InformUSA Awards recognize individuals and organizations for their hard work, innovation and achievements in the areas of information and referral.
Launched in November 2024 through a partnership with Offutt Air Force Base, the Nebraska Department of Veterans’ Affairs and community partners – the Military and Family Helpline’s goal is to strengthen support for veterans and active-duty military and their families by leveraging existing community resources and infrastructure.
The MFH utilizes United Way of the Midlands’ existing 211 Helpline infrastructure to ensure comprehensive support – connecting users to trained resource specialists who help them identify best-fit resources for needs such as food, housing, healthcare, childcare and employment.
What makes this partnership especially unique is a dedicated navigator also operates both on-base at Offutt AFB and at UWM to offer personalized assistance – effectively connecting veteran, installation and community-based resources to meet diverse needs. This comprehensive approach ensures individuals facing multifaceted challenges can access vital services, regardless of their proximity to military installations.
In its first six months of operation, the MFH has already made a powerful impact on the military community – receiving more than 4,000 calls from individuals with military affiliation and adding more than 245 veteran resources to its database. This effort would not be possible without corporate sponsors Beardmore, Five Points Bank, Caretech, Pella, CymStar and ACCESSbank.
For more information about the MFH, go to: UWM211.org/ MilitaryFamilyHelpline.

Walk with over 3,000 people to help find a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D) at this year’s Breakthrough T1D Walk on Sunday, October 5th at Mahoney State Park starting at 11:30 a.m. The Walk aims to raise awareness for T1D and fund research to cure, treat and prevent T1D and its complications.
T1D is an autoimmune disease that is diagnosed in both children and adults and has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle. If you have T1D, your pancreas stops producing insulin, a hormone essential to turning food into energy. This means you must constantly monitor your blood-sugar level, inject or infuse insulin from a pump and carefully monitor your eating and activity every single day.
By joining Breakthrough T1D Walk, you will help us create a movement to improve and change life with type 1 diabetes, advancing lifechanging breakthroughs on the way to cures. Register for the Walk today at walk.BreakthroughT1D.org/omaha!
Questions about this event including sponsorship opportunities can be directed to Chris Dunn, Market Director, at 402-214-0638 / cdunn@BreakthroughT1D.org.

It provides training in leadership skills, advocacy, community service and heart-healthy living, plus up to 20 community service hours. The program is chaired by founder of Home Instead and former Miss Nebraska, Lori Hogan.

In addition to other educational and fun events, they will also be presented at the Heart Ball on Saturday, Feb. 14.

They will volunteer their time to help others and experience the spirit of community volunteerism, the hallmark of a healthy community.
The local chapter is currently seeking nominations of young women (sophomores-seniors) who exemplify a healthy lifestyle, demonstrate leadership through their schoolwork and activities, and have the desire to give back to the community.
A tax-deductible patronage fee of $2,000 for the program can be paid by parents or by sponsors (civic organizations, friends and relatives, businesses or any combination of the above).
To nominate or apply to be a 2024-25 Sweetheart, please contact Sarah Tslentis at Sarah.Tselentis@heart.org.

When teams step away from their desks, they often discover deeper connections. Company retreats are a powerful way to strengthen team bonds, spark creativity and build company culture, which in turn, boosts productivity.
Beyond emails and meetings, it’s the personal connections that truly drive collaboration. Retreats offer a unique opportunity for employees to connect beyond project-focused conversations and surface-level small talk to build genuine relationships. These relationships can significantly enhance the overall work experience, leading to increased job satisfaction, productivity and well-being.
In daily work life, teams often stay within their roles and have limited chances to connect personally. A company retreat breaks those walls down and grants employees with shared experiences that create stronger interpersonal ties. The emotional connection that follows helps people communicate more openly and resolve conflicts more effectively.
We spend a lot of time with our coworkers, so forming friendships makes work more enjoyable. Plus, when we care about the people we work with, we’re more likely to show up for them. This makes us more reliable, accountable employees.
Familiar surroundings lead to familiar thinking. Retreats offer a muchneeded break from the daily routine, allowing employees to recharge and return to work feeling refreshed and motivated. It is exhilarating to try new things and gain new experiences, even if this includes something simple. Rigid routines often lead to a sense of boredom and stagnation, but breaking away from them reduces stress and promotes a sense of freedom and creativity. This renewed energy makes employees feel more inspired to explore new ideas. Retreats generate excitement about life, which includes excitement for work.
Get the creative juices flowing with a little movement and fun! FotoFun Spot, Omaha’s go-to mobile photo booth company, brings the energy to any retreat. Whether it’s a retro-style booth, selfie station or glamstyle backdrop, these interactive setups are perfect for sparking laughter, making memories and capturing candid moments that live on long after the retreat ends.
And when your team’s stomachs start to rumble after all that fun? Bring in Carl’s at Mahoney— a crowd-pleaser known for home-
cooked, hearty meals with a side of Midwestern hospitality. Their customizable menu fits any event vibe, whether you’re keeping things casual or going all out.
Culture isn’t built over Zoom, it is built through shared, meaningful experiences. Retreats provide positive and enriching experiences for employees, demonstrating that the company values them. This kind of investment in their well-being leads to increased employee morale, engagement and loyalty.
Retreats also give teams the chance to realign with the company’s mission and reconnect with the purpose behind their work. People do their best when they care about what they’re doing and who they’re doing it for, and that level of motivation stems from trust and community.
A serene setting helps create space for those deeper conversations. The Linden House, a warm, contemporary restaurant in the Linden Market, offers exclusive dining spaces ideal for your retreat. With a sophisticated ambiance, it’s the perfect place to experience awardnominated European-American cuisine. Each dish will tell a story as you share your own.
A retreat is not only exciting for employees but is rewarding for the leadership team, too. Planning and delivering a successful event strengthens a leader’s ability to set a vision and see it through. That sense of accomplishment builds confidence, credibility and trust in both directions.
Retreats also give leaders the chance to interact with employees in a more personal, relaxed environment. That kind of authentic interaction fosters respect and loyalty, which are both essential elements for high-performing teams.
Of course, the details matter, but planning the perfect event doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Tikka Talk Omaha brings the flavor and flair to you as a globally inspired Indian fusion cuisine food truck. This is the perfect option for vibrant spices, creative presentations and an unforgettable culinary experience. Whether you’re catering a sit-down meal or casually enjoying fun street-style bites, Tikka Talk helps turn your retreat into a total treat.
A company retreat is more than just time away from the office, it is an investment in your people, your culture and your company’s future. When employees feel seen, supported and inspired, they return to work more connected, creative and committed. Whether it’s posing for fun photos, savoring flavorful cuisine, enjoying a catered lunch or winding down in a cozy backyard setting, these shared moments build the foundation for stronger teams and better business.
So go ahead and treat your team. Step away from the routine. Spark something new. Because sometimes, the best way forward is by stepping out together.
A perfect night out with coworkers strengthens team dynamics in ways the workplace alone can’t. When colleagues step away from deadlines, emails, and office roles, they get the chance to connect on a more personal level. These moments help break down professional barriers, allowing coworkers to see each other as individuals rather than just job titles. This deeper understanding often leads to stronger collaboration, greater empathy, and a more positive work environment overall.
On a mental health level, it provides a much-needed release. Work can be stressful, and shared social time helps reduce burnout, increase morale, and remind people that they’re part of a supportive team. Omaha Fashion Week is the perfect outing for your company retreat. This is a great opportunity to get dressed up, and bond over your shared appreciation of fashion.

I combine deep identity and embodiment work with proven business, sales, and scaling strategies that actually move the needle. Our mission statement is that women can have it all: impact, income, freedom, and sisterhood, all without sacrifice. We stand together and rise together. I’m here to end the “mean girl” business mentality, help women unapologetically own their power, and leave a legacy of wealth, impact, and liberation.
We’re not just about mindset fluff or empty motivation. We fuse fierce identity work with proven sales systems, bold offer creation, and scalable business models that actually move the needle. Our clients don’t just feel good, they cash in. We’re unapologetically results-driven, with a heart-led twist: we help women own their brilliance, charge their worth, and build empires that feel as good as they look.
At the helm of a fast-growing movement for ambitious women entrepreneurs, Alpha Queen Collective® is more than just a coaching company, it’s a bold rebellion against outdated business norms that society has set for women.
We believe women can have it all — wealth, freedom, impact, and sisterhood — without self-sacrifice or burnout. We’re here to dismantle the “mean girl” mentality in business and replace it with radical support, collaboration, and unapologetic abundance. We rise together, we win together, and we leave behind legacies that matter, while making a whole lot of money doing it.
Ladies, this is your million-dollar era, and we’re just getting started. If you’re a woman with a big mission and bold goals, it’s time to stop playing small. Join the Alpha Queen movement and let’s build your empire with power, profit, and purpose.
“In just 30 days of joining the program, I went from barely making $2,500 with a low-ticket offer to confidently selling a premium $5K package. After one powerful coaching session where we restructured my offer and clarified the value, I closed two $5K sales within a week—and now I have five more calls booked! This program helped me step into my worth, own my expertise, and finally build the business I knew was possible.” – Kay Spears, Functional Nutrition & Wellness Expert

Strictly Business is honored to be featuring our amazing Omaha non-profit organizations this month! Nonprofits play a vital role in strengthening communities by addressing social, economic, and environmental challenges that often go unmet. They provide essential services such as food assistance, housing support, education programs, and mental health care, often serving vulnerable or underserved populations. Beyond direct aid, nonprofits foster community engagement, volunteerism, and advocacy, empowering individuals to participate in creating positive change.
There are so many ways individuals can support Omaha’s local non-profits. From volunteering and making monetary donations to talking to friends or families about non-profits, community support and awareness is the key to achieve each non-profits goal.
Businesses can also support nonprofits in meaningful ways that strengthen both the community and their own brand. Through financial contributions, sponsorships, or donations, companies can help nonprofits expand their reach and impact. Many businesses also encourage employee volunteerism or offer matching gift programs, fostering a culture of social responsibility.
Supporting nonprofits is more than a generous act; it’s a powerful act of compassion and hope. Every donation, every volunteer hour, and every shared resource can change a life, uplift a struggling family, or offer comfort to someone in crisis.
Nonprofits are often the quiet heroes, stepping in when no one else can, offering food to the hungry, shelter to the homeless, or a safe space to the vulnerable. When you support a nonprofit, you’re not just giving money or time—you’re giving dignity, opportunity, and a chance at a better future. In a world that can feel divided or overwhelming, that kind of impact is deeply human—and truly priceless.
Let Strictly Business open your eyes to the amazing work of Omaha non-profits and get involved with one near and dear to your heart today!

Welcome to Hiya , a heartfelt initiative blending creativity and compassion.
Founded by Alejandra Wells, a high school student, Hiya began as a personal journey to cope with anxiety and depression.
Inspired by her own experiences and the loss of a close friend, Alejandra turned her passion for handmade bracelets into a movement to promote mental health awareness among teens.
Hiya operates under a unique “Buy One, Give One” model—every bracelet purchased helps provide one to a teen in need, spreading hope and encouragement. With initiatives like the “Check on Your People” campaign, partnerships with Omaha nonprofits and national healthcare organizations, and the launch of Hiya The Magazine, we aim to foster conversations around mental health and break the stigma for young people everywhere.
Our mission is simple: to empower teens, spark meaningful dialogue, and create a brighter, more compassionate future — one bracelet at a time. Support our cause at goshophiya.com.

The YMCA of Omaha strengthens communities through three pillars:
Youth development: Developing the next generation of leaders by instilling life skills such as perseverance, sportsmanship and teamwork. We do this through youth sports, summer camps, after-school programming, swim lessons and Early Learning Centers.
Healthy living: Engaging community members in healthy habits, including exercise and wellness programs for all and special accommodations for those managing health risks or recovery, including the active older adults.
Social responsibility: Making health and learning opportunities broadly accessible for people of all means, backgrounds and neighborhoods.
