Just like a shopping list, sometimes all you need is a simple list of what to do to get you on your way. Here are our 6 tips to getting your home ready for sale.

1.Boost kerb appeal

Clean up and maintain landscaping, trim bushes and clean gutters

Get the pressure washer out and clean the driveway, side paths and any other paved areas

Plant some spring florals for a pop of colour and street appeal

First impressions matter and serious buyers LOVE street appeal

2. Declutter

Pack away any personal items, excess decor or seasonal items (pop the heaters away - Winter is gone!)

Remove unnecessary furniture to create a more open feel to spaces that deserve it

Tidy kitchen and bathroom surfaces for an added fresh feel

Buyers want to imagine themselves in the space, so why not paint the picture of ‘Welcome Home’ to them?

3. Deep clean and tidy

Wash and clean windows to allow natural light to flow through

Spring clean: out with the old and in with the new. If it still has the tag on it from 2014, it’s never getting used or worn

Steam clean carpets and bathrooms and give the cornices and skirting boards a deep clean from unwanted dust

Nobody likes mess and buyers like to see that the place they are about to call home has been cared for with love.

4. Make small repairs

Patch any holes in the wall and touch up paint with a fresh neutral coat

Fix leaking taps and change lights that don’t work

Check doors and windows and make sure they open smoothly

Highlight Spring’s brightness with pops of colour, throw pillows and light linens

Add some fresh flowers or greenery in key points in the house for personal touches when it comes to open home days

Good morning Europe! Tahlia and Ben jet set for their honeymoon in Europe and we loved following each story update Over 6 beautiful weeks, they visited Athens, Croatia (Dubrovnik, Hvar & Split), Italy (Rome, Ischia, Florence), Amsterdam, Paris, South of France (Nice & Cannes), Portugal and finally Spain (San Sebastian, Marbella & Barcelona) We asked Tahlia where her favourite place was and this is what she said: “Ischia and Hvar for the relaxed lifestyle and beautiful crystal clear water”. She also mentioned the beach clubs and endless amounts of Aperol Spritzs consumed were a highlight A honeymoon to never forget. Tahlia is now back on the tools in the office with a beautiful European glow
