INSPIRE EDUCATION GROUP ANNOUNCE NEW CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

IEG is pleased to announce the appointment of Alex Owen, who will join the Group as Chief Financial Officer from January 2026.

Alex succeeds Louise Perry, who will retire in April following a distinguished career in finance and a lasting contribution to the Group’s success. Her work has ensured that Inspire Education Group is well positioned for continued growth, innovation and sustainability - a legacy that will underpin the next exciting chapter in the Group’s journey.

PETERBOROUGH COLLEGE HOSTS EAST OF ENGLAND ESOL CONFERENCE WITH NATECLA AND CPCA

Peterborough College hosted the East of England ESOL Conference, welcoming practitioners, partners and learners to explore how high-quality ESOL provision supports inclusion, confidence and community cohesion.

Delivered by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority and NATECLA East of England, the hybrid event brought together sector specialists to share trauma-informed practice, resilient classroom approaches, national updates and powerful learner experiences.

STAMFORD COLLEGE CELEBRATES INSPIRATIONAL MEN’S DAY WINNER, JOE WISE

In recognition of International Men’s Day, students across Stamford College were invited to nominate an inspirational male member of staff who has made a positive impact on their College experience.

This year, the overwhelming winner was Joe Wise, who received an impressive 40 nominations, reflecting the high regard and appreciation felt by students throughout the College community.

IEG AND PECT PARTNER TO HOST SUSTAINABILITY WORKSHOP AT CENTRE FOR GREEN TECHNOLOGY

IEG and PECT partnered to deliver a highly engaging sustainability workshop designed to strengthen community participation in local climate and energy projects.

The session took place at IEG’s recently launched Centre for Green Technologythe region’s flagship hub for green skills, education and low-carbon innovation.

Funded by Innovate UK, the workshop was part of the FutureNow project, led by Peterborough City Council, which aims to help residents and organisations move to more sustainable, affordable lifestyles; improve energy efficiency; and promote local climate projects.

UNIVERSITY CENTRE PETERBOROUGH STUDENTS EXPLORE STENCIL DESIGN WITH METAL CULTURE

University Centre Peterborough students recently took part in an engaging workshop with Metal Culture, an arts organisation based in Peterborough that works to connect creativity, community and sustainability.

The session introduced students to the process of stencil design, encouraging them to experiment with shape, texture and pattern to create original visuals that could later be transferred onto fabric. Led by the team at Metal, the workshop offered a hands-on opportunity to explore how design principles can move beyond the screen and into physical, creative applications.

GIRLS’ FOOTBALL TAKES CENTRE STAGE AT STAMFORD COLLEGE’S AOC TOURNAMENT

Stamford College was excited to welcome colleges from the East Midlands for the Association of Colleges (AoC) Girls’ 7-a-side Football Tournament. The event brought together enthusiastic and talented players who were eager to represent their colleges and enjoy a day of competitive football. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to meet others from across the UK, share their passion for the game and take part in a memorable sporting occasion.
