With a £65M turnover, over 1,300 staff and 12,000 learners, IEG combines its civic mission with a commercial mindset, ensuring continued investment in students, staff, and campuses while supporting employers with skills and workforce challenges.

INSPIRE EDUCATION GROUP WINS TRAINING PROVIDER OF THE YEAR AT THE PETERBOROUGH TELEGRAPH APPRENTICESHIP AWARDS 2025

The award recognises IEG’s impact in developing apprenticeship provision that directly responds to employer demand and supports the region’s economic growth. With over 1,000 apprentices in training across more than 40 standards, IEG works with a diverse portfolio of businesses – from SMEs to national employers including Baker Perkins, Allison Homes, Anglian Water and Codem Composites – to co-design programmes that address skills gaps and create sustainable career pathways.

IEG CELEBRATE RECORD ENROLMENT FIGURES FOR 2025/26 ACADEMIC YEAR

Inspire Education Group (IEG) is celebrating another record-breaking year, with over 6,000 full-time 16-19-year-olds choosing to take their next steps with Stamford and Peterborough Colleges. This marks an increase of more than 300 students compared to September 2024.

Inspire Education Group (IEG) has been awarded a prestigious International Green Apple Environment Award for its pioneering approach to sustainable waste management, recognising IEG’s leadership in circular economy practice and low-impact infrastructure.

Parents, students and employers are recognising IEG as a provider of choice, thanks to its strong outcomes and sectorleading teaching. In 2024/25, IEG was ranked in the top 10% of General Further Education Colleges nationally and the top 20% for highgrade achievement in GCSE English.

PETERBOROUGH COLLEGE LECTURER WINS TWO BOXING MATCHES FOR CHARITY

Peterborough College lecturer Teresa Coleman has proved it’s never too late to take on a new challenge after raising £2,000 through two charity boxing matches. At 53, Teresa trained hard for her first fight, completing two tough boxing sessions each week over an eight-week programme. She then stepped into the ring at Planet Ice in Bretton, admitting she felt nervous for her first fight but determined to see it through.

PETERBOROUGH COLLEGE LECTURER LEADS INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH ON GREEN CONSTRUCTION AND SUSTAINABLE SUPPLY CHAINS

Peterborough College is proud to celebrate the achievements of Tharaki Hettiarachchi, Lecturer in the Faculty of the Built Environment, whose work is helping to shape the future of green construction and smart supply chains, further strengthening the College’s position as a leader in sustainability education.

Tharaki recently delivered a guest lecture on “Green and Smart Supply Chains: Leveraging Technology for Sustainable Global Trade” to final-year undergraduate students at the Department of Operations Management, Faculty of Management, University of Peradeniya, one of the top three universities in Sri Lanka.

CATERING STUDENTS SERVE UP SUCCESS AT THE ICONIC PETERBOROUGH CATHEDRAL

Catering students from both Stamford College and Peterborough College once again showcased their professionalism and skill at University Centre Peterborough’s graduation ceremony, held at the iconic Peterborough Cathedral.

The students prepared and served four canapé options to nearly 1,000 attendees, including graduates, families, dignitaries and staff. The event was a fantastic opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in a real-world, high-pressure environment and they rose to the occasion with incredible confidence and capability.

PETERBOROUGH AND STAMFORD COLLEGE AIR AND DEFENCE STUDENTS CELEBRATE MATRICULATION AT INTERNATIONAL BOMBER COMMAND CENTRE

Students from Peterborough College and Stamford College, part of Inspire Education Group (IEG), have officially begun their studies with an Air and Defence matriculation ceremony held at the renowned International Bomber Command Centre (IBCC) in Lincoln.

The symbolic and inspirational setting of the IBCC provided the perfect backdrop for the next generation of aviation and aerospace professionals as they begin their educational journey. More than 140 students, accompanied by lecturers, industry leaders and representatives from key ASI partners, gathered to celebrate the start of the academic year and the opportunities that lie ahead.
