The Science Captains and science faculty organised an exciting Science week in Term 3, coinciding with National Science Week and exploring the theme ‘Deep Blue’.

There was a quiz each day of the week which enabled girls to earn points for their house, culminating in a house winner at the end of the week. The week commenced with the first lot of rubber bands added to our watermelon friends to eventually explode the watermelon on Wednesday at lunch time. On Tuesday, we observed the strange effects with dry ice and the ocean. Wednesday was an exciting lunch time with the explosion of the watermelon and Thursday rounded out the week with an interactive quiz. Congratulations to Cavell who took our the inaugural Interhouse Science Week competition, very fitting given the national theme of ‘Deep Blue’! 28
