SS 2012 COLLECTIONS A SMALL PRAYER FOR YOUR WELL-BEING The link among Sherpa Adventure Gear, Nepal and its population is strong and evident in every detail of its products. An example is the presence of a sort of prayer flag named Lung Ta (Wind Horse) in the zipper pulls of Sherpa’s garments. Fluttering gently in the breeze as you go about your life, they bless the ground you walk on and help you stay in balance with the sky, wind, water and earth. This is just one of the details present also in the SS 2012 collection that, according to Tashi Sherpa (Member of the Sherpa Adventure Gear Family), is dedicated to “our extended family in the US, Nepal and Asia, from the sales team at the flagship store, to the managers and merchandisers and their assistants, to the samplers in our sample room, to the supervisors and their helpers on the production floor, and the guards at the gate”.
UNA PICCOLA PREGHIERA PER IL VOSTRO BENESSERE Il legame di Sherpa Adventure Gear con il Nepal e la sua popolazione è forte ed evidente in ogni dettaglio dei capi proposti. Ne è un esempio la presenza di una sorta di bandierina di preghiera Lung Ta (Cavallo del Vento) applicata ai tiretti delle cerniere dei capi. Volteggiando nella brezza lungo i sentieri, queste bandierine benedicono il terreno su cui si cammina e aiutano a restare in equilibrio con il cielo, il vento, l’acqua e la terra. Questo è solo uno dei dettagli presenti anche nella collezione SS 2012 di Sherpa dedicata, come ha dichiarato Tashi Sherpa (membro della famiglia Sherpa Adventure Gear), “alla nostra famiglia allargata negli USA, in Nepal e in Asia, dal team dei venditori nel nostro flagship store a Kathmandu, ai manager e ai merchandiser con i loro assistenti, a chi prepara le campionature, ai supervisori e ai loro aiutanti in produzione, fino alle guardie all’entrata”.

Shoulder seasons bring unpredictable weather, so when the day calls for just a little something between you and the elements, choose the Kriti. This men’s soft shell acts like a breathable, water- and windresistant second skin. The fabric is stretchy and soft, and the fit is meant to be close, so there’s no flap or drag to slow you down. Elbows are articulated to refine the fit, and thumb loops keep sleeves in place. It features pockets (two front hand and one upper chest) zip closed, asymmetrical center front zip from chest to chin for comfort, adjustable drawcord at hem, pop-color at chest zip and select stitch details. It’s made in 91% nylon and 9% spandex. It’s available in colours black/gokyo lake, nadee green/suntala, sarkar blue/karela green, suntala/tibetan coral and in sizes S-XXL with a weight of 415 gr.

Articulated knees, 4-way stretch fabric and a gusseted crotch combine to give you the ultimate in mobility and comfort. Ankle zips allow easy on/off over boots. They feature large zip pockets that keep energy bars within reach, low-profile belt loops that create a bulk-free waistband. Sherpa changed the fabric of these beloved Bermudas to a lightweight polyester/spandex blend to step up their performance versatility. They’re as soft as ever, but now water-resistant and stretchy in four directions. They are thought for women and feature flat-front styling, 11-inch inseam, and wide belt loops; multiple pockets (one side thigh, two rear zip, and two hand) that keep keys, phone and credit card within reach; contrast color pocket detail. They are made 88% polyester and 12% spandex and are proposed in ani red, tchampa, kharani, peepal green with a weight of 150 gr.
