College Overview St Kevin's College is a Catholic school for boys in the Edmund Rice tradition. St Kevin's provides an exemplary standard of education from Prep to Year 12, as well as a coeducational Early Learning Centre, for over 2,100 students, led by over 350 staff across five campus sites, each catering for the specific needs of learners as they embark on, and fulfil, their educational journey.
The College has faithfully partnered with families in serving the educational needs of boys from the metropolitan region of Melbourne since 1918 with students from over 140 postcodes, including those from Indigenous communities and migrant families new to Australia. The College is fortunate to have an extended family of students, teachers, parents and Old Collegians who form a community that is committed to the Catholic education of young people in the tradition of Edmund Rice. St Kevin's College is a member of the Associated Public Schools of Victoria, through which the College participates in a offers a comprehensive range of competitive sports with other APS schools. Throughout the College, opportunities for student leadership are provided and strongly encouraged. Senior students take significant roles and exercise responsible guidance and role modelling. The College Captain, Deputy Captains, Prefects and Officers comprise the 72 leadership positions at Year 12 which has a natural flow to all other year levels. The next five years will be a major period of ongoing development at St Kevin's with a focus on embedding a culture of respect that sees inclusivity, transparency, communication, collaborative decision-making, student efficacy and staff engagement accompanied by the furnishing of partnerships within our Catholic context as fundamental pillars to write the next chapter.
