Preparations are underway for the 8th annual Jan’s Daisy Dash Benefit 5k Run/ Walk to be held on Saturday, October 30 at the Cocalico High School Stadium, 650 S. 6th Street in Denver. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. (registration will be located on the stadium track;
enter at the Elementary School by the tennis courts). The 5k Run/Walk begins at 9:00 a.m., and at 10:00 the award presentation will be held at the track. Awards include Overall Male and Female, with prize medals presented to top male and female finishers in
designated age brackets: 14 and under, 15 to 19 years, 20 to 29 years, 30 to 39 years, 40 to 49 years, 50 to 59 years, 60 to 69 years, and 70+ years. Individuals can register on the day of the event, or online at janscircleoffriends.org or PretzelCitySports.com.

The Hinkletown Youth will be presenting ‘Soda Shop Angel’ on Friday, November 5 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 6 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at Hinkletown Mennonite Church. Join the cast as they bring all the
fun and nostalgia of the 50s to the stage as a bumbling angel in training is trying to earn her halo by helping the Harding family save their Mom & Pop Soda Shop. A free will offering will be taken at intermission, and all proceeds will benefit
