WORSHIP OF GOD

Bill Gabbard

Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, You are very great. You are clothed with honor and majesty, wrapped in light as with a garment. You stretch out the heavens like a tent, You set the beams of Your chambers on the waters, You make the clouds Your chariot, You ride on the wings of the wind, You make the winds Your messengers, fire and flame Your ministers. You set the earth on its foundations, so that it shall never be shaken. You cover it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains. At Your rebuke they flee; at the sound of Your thunder they take to flight. They rose up to the mountains, ran down to the valleys to the place that You appointed for them. You set a boundary that they may not pass, so that they might not again cover the earth.

Sunday, October 17, 2021, at 11 a.m. WE'RE GLAD YOU'RE HERE

Welcome to Second-Ponce! You belong here, and we hope you'll come back. We meet for worship Sundays at 11 a.m. in our beautiful Sanctuary and host a contemporary online worship service at 2 p.m. called All Together. You can stream them both on our Facebook page or at www.livestream.com/spdl. During the week, we have virtual small groups and Bible studies and each Wednesday, we hold a churchwide prayer call and an adult discipleship study we call SPdLU (Second-Ponce de Leon University). We truly have something for everyone here at Second-Ponce. Help us get to know you better by completing a Connect card located in the pew rack. Simply hand it to a minister or drop it in the offering plate as you leave.

HOW TO JOIN Second-Ponce enthusiastically welcomes you to make a commitment to Christ and our community of faith. At any time during the Hymn of Response, simply walk to the front of the Sanctuary where our Senior Pastor or a Second-Ponce minister will greet you with warmth and joy.

HOW CAN WE PRAY FOR YOU?

LEADING OUR OFFERTORY PRAYER Tom Lewis teaches in several of our adult Sunday School classes as a rotational teacher. He has been past chairman of SPdL’s Stewardship Committee, a team lead of the Generous Church Team and former chair of the Board of Deacons. He is an Air Force veteran and retired commercial pilot. Tom and his wife, Judy, were married at SPdL 60 years ago! They have two adult children and six grandchildren.

At Second-Ponce, you have a church family who welcomes the opportunity to join you in prayer. In fact, we consider this act an honor. Let us know how we can pray for you by filling out a prayer card located in the pew rack. You can drop it in the offering plate located in the Narthex or give it to a member of the Second-Ponce ministerial staff after worship.

GIVING TO SECOND-PONCE Your financial support of Second-Ponce allows us to carry out the mission God has for our church. We're grateful for your faithfulness to give as you are able. There are giving cards in the pew racks that utilize a QR code for making gifts online. You may also drop your offering in the offering plate located in the Narthex after the service.
