CHORAL CALL TO WORSHIP HYMN NO. 158
DUKE STREET
WELCOME & INVOCATION
Dr. Dock Hollingsworth Psalm 51:1–10
Rev. Allie Osborne
Leader: Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your steadfast love; according to Your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. Congregation: Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. Leader: Against You, You alone, have I sinned, and done what is evil in Your sight, so that You are justified in your sentence and blameless when You pass judgment. Congregation: Indeed, I was born guilty, a sinner when my mother conceived me. You desire truth in the inward being; therefore teach me wisdom in my secret heart. Leader: Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Congregation: Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones that You have crushed rejoice. Leader: Hide Your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Congregation: Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me. ANTHEM

Amani Sasa Provides • Emergency food, medical services and housing • A shelter recovery program for women who have faced severe abuse and exploitation • Rehabilitation and empowerment programs for single and young mothers, widows and men • Programs aimed at trauma healing, vocational training, parenting skills and education • Scholarship oportunities for refugee children Ways We Love Amani Sasa | Second-Ponce treasures our long-standing relationship with Missy Ward-Angalla. In fact, she's been a resident of the SPdL missions house! Our congregation connects most directly with Amani Sasa through our giving toward the medical needs of the refugees they serve. Trina Harris | CEO | Touching Miami with Love (TML) | Miami, Florida Trina Harris is a wife, mother and the new CEO of Touching Miami with Love. She was born— and continues to live in—Overtown, one of the communities served by TML. Trina's deep roots in the area along with experience in non-profit management, issues-based advocacy and small business development make Trina a blessing to those she serves. Touching Miami with Love Provides • Year-round, age-appropriate programs for K-12th graders which include group literacy, fitness and sports, social-emotional learning, academic support, arts and culture, civic engagement, college readiness, job training and spiritual development • In-school case management with instructional advocates and social work interns • Intensive therapy for family relationships and trauma • A healing and justice public safety program empowering adults to end community violence Ways We Love TML | Each year, Second-Ponce sends a team of volunteers to serve in Overtown's summer program. In addition to hands-on service, we've shared funds to purchase needed supplies including a water drinking fountain, a sump pump to keep water off the playground and school supplies.
WE LOVE MEETING NEW PEOPLE Welcome to worship at Second-Ponce! You belong here, and we hope you'll come back. We truly have something for everyone, and not just on Sundays. During the week, we have virtual small groups and Bible studies. Each Wednesday evening, we have Fellowship Supper, an adult discipleship study and age-appropriate activities for children and teens. Now that you know a little about us, help us get to know you better by completing the blue or green card located in the pew rack. Simply hand it to a minister or drop it in the offering plate. HOW TO JOIN Second-Ponce enthusiastically welcomes you to make a commitment to Christ and our community of faith. At any time during the Hymn of Response, simply walk to the front of the Sanctuary where our Senior Pastor or a Second-Ponce minister will greet you with warmth and joy.
ADDITIONAL SUNDAY INFORMATION CHILDCARE DURING WORSHIP We love to see children at Second-Ponce, and we have a Kids’ Club area just for them! It's one floor up from the Sanctuary, and our greeters will be happy to show you the way. In the Kids' Club, there’s a nursery for babies through pre-K and Kids Worship for children K through 5th grade. You can take your children to Kids Worship before the service or, if you’d prefer, they can stay with you in the Sanctuary for either the entire hour or until the Doxology and then go with our children's ministry leaders. You'll pick them up in the Kids’ Club area after worship. SHARING PRAYER REQUESTS At Second-Ponce, you have a church family who welcomes the opportunity to join you in prayer. Let us know by filling out a prayer request card located on the back of the pew rack. You can drop it in the offering plate or give it to a member of the SecondPonce ministerial staff after worship. GIVING AN OFFERING Your financial support of Second-Ponce allows us to carry out the mission God has for our church. There are giving cards in the pew racks that utilize a QR code for making gifts online. You may also drop your offering in the offering plate.
