WE'RE GLAD YOU'RE HERE Welcome to Second-Ponce de Leon Baptist Church. You belong here, and we hope you'll come back. We meet for worship Sundays at 11 a.m. in our beautiful Sanctuary. We also host a contemporary online worship service at 4 p.m. called All Together. You can stream it on our Facebook page or at www.livestream.com/spdl.

During the week, we have virtual small groups and Bible studies and each Wednesday, we hold a churchwide prayer call. We truly have something for everyone here at Second-Ponce. Our greeters and ministers love the opportunity to connect you with a small group or other opportunities to carry out your ministry passions.

HOW TO JOIN Second-Ponce enthusiastically welcomes you to make a commitment to Christ and our community of faith. At any time during the Hymn of Response, simply walk to the front of the Sanctuary where our senior pastor or a Second-Ponce minister will greet you with warmth and joy. At our big regathering bash on August 22, we'll honor all new members who joined during the pandemic with a greeting line and the usual fanfare worthy of you joining the Second-Ponce family.

HOW CAN WE PRAY FOR YOU? At Second-Ponce, you have a church family who welcomes the opportunity to join you in prayer. In fact, we consider this act an honor. Let us know how we can pray for you by filling out a prayer card located in the pew rack. You can drop it in the offering plate located in the Narthex or give it to a member of the Second-Ponce ministerial staff after worship.

GIVING TO SECOND-PONCE Your financial support of Second-Ponce allows us to carry out the mission God has for our church. We're grateful for your faithfulness to give as you are able. SUMMER GIVING AT SECOND-PONCE June–August, 2021 We're so thankful that God has brought us to a place where we can once again take vacations and spend time playing and relaxing. As part of your summer plans, we ask that you make arrangements to continue giving to Second-Ponce even when you're away. Our campaign, Strength for Today, Bright Hope for Tomorrow honors God's faithfulness and reminds us that we must be faithful in return. CAN WE TALK? Conversations with Leaders about Post-COVID Mental Health Long after COVID is finally gone, we'll have its aftermath to contend with—including the contagion's emotional residue. We must know how to handle it as individuals and families, nations and congregations.

Some of us need to know because we teach; others because we live and work with fellow strugglers. Our Pastor, Dr. Dock Hollingsworth, invited two therapists, Rev. Lanta Carroll and Dr. Doyle Hamilton, for a probing conversation on how COVID has affected us and how we can respond in effective support of each other. You'll find their dialogue a powerful tonic, not only for your role as a friend, a teacher, a spouse, or a parent—but also as an ordinary individual, coping with these troublesome times.
