WELCOME & INVOCATION

Rev. Allie Osborne

BLESSING FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR

Ministers & Congregation

Leader: God of wisdom and might, we praise You for the wonder of our being, for mind, body and spirit. Congregation: Lead us in Your truth and teach us.

Leader: Some wandered in desert wastes, finding no way to an inhabited town; hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted within them. Congregation: Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and He delivered them from their distress; He led them by a straight way, until they reached an inhabited town. Leader Let them thank the Lord for His steadfast love, for His wonderful works to humankind. For He satisfies the thirsty, and the hungry He fills with good things. Congregation: Let those who are wise pay attention to these things and consider the steadfast love of the Lord. ANTHEM

It Was His Love

Leader: Give them strength and grace as their bodies grow, wisdom and knowledge to their minds as they search for understanding, and peace and zeal to their hearts. Congregation: Lead them in Your truth and teach them. Leader: Bless the staff that support and the teachers that instruct.

OFFERTORY

Leader: Guide the school teachers as they strive to share their knowledge with gentle patience, and endeavor always to bring the truth to eager minds. Congregation: Lead them in Your truth and teach them. Leader: Bless our Sunday School teachers, as they volunteer their time and talents to educate the souls of the students of this church, both old and young. Empower their ministry with renewed energy and vision for the year to come.

WE LOVE MEETING NEW PEOPLE Welcome to worship at Second-Ponce! You belong here, and we hope you'll come back. We truly have something for everyone, and not just on Sundays. During the week, we have virtual small groups and Bible studies. Each Wednesday evening, we have Fellowship Supper, an adult discipleship study and age-appropriate activities for children and teens. Now that you know a little about us, help us get to know you better by completing the blue or green card located in the pew rack. Simply hand it to a minister or drop it in the offering plate.

ADDITIONAL SUNDAY INFORMATION CHILDCARE DURING WORSHIP We love to see children at Second-Ponce, and we have a Kids’ Club area just for them! It's one floor up from the Sanctuary, and our greeters will be happy to show you the way. In the Kids' Club, there’s a nursery for babies through pre-K and Kids Worship for children K through 5th grade. You can take your children to Kids Worship before the service or, if you’d prefer, they can stay with you in the Sanctuary for either the entire hour or until the Doxology and then go with our children's ministry leaders. You'll pick them up in the Kids’ Club area after worship.
