HE LEADETH ME Rev. Allie Osborne

Congregation: O Lord, who may abide in Your tent? Who may dwell on Your holy hill? Those who walk blamelessly and do what is right and speak the truth from their heart; who do not slander with their tongue and do no evil to their friends nor heap shame upon their neighbors; in whose eyes the wicked are despised but who honor those who fear the Lord; who stand by their oath even to their hurt; who do not lend money at interest and do not take a bribe against the innocent. Those who do these things shall never be moved. ANTHEM

FROM THE COMPOSER OF TODAY’S OFFERTORY In the summer of 2007, I had the privilege of being part of a mission team serving in Ukraine. Due to its geographical position and rich natural resources, the country has a history of foreign invasion, occupation and oppression. It is estimated that more than 25 million Ukrainians were killed during the 20th century due to starvation, war and the deadliest nuclear accident in history. Sadly, their loss continues with the 2022 Russian invasion. “Ukrainian Alleluia” is a musical portrayal of their voice of faith, strength and hope in the midst of unimaginable suffering and tragedy. –Craig Courtney

Please use this time to reflect on your gifts and service opportunities. Note that the offering plates are now located at the front and back entrances to the Sanctuary.

WORSHIP OF GOD Sunday, July 17, 2022 at 11 a.m.

WE LOVE MEETING NEW PEOPLE Welcome to worship at Second-Ponce! You belong here, and we hope you'll come back. We truly have something for everyone, and not just on Sundays. During the week, we have virtual small groups and Bible studies. Each Wednesday evening, we have Fellowship Supper, an adult discipleship study and age-appropriate activities for children and teens. Now that you know a little about us, help us get to know you better by completing the blue or green card located in the pew rack. Simply hand it to a minister or drop it in the offering plate. HOW TO JOIN Second-Ponce enthusiastically welcomes you to make a commitment to Christ and our community of faith. At any time during the Hymn of Response, simply walk to the front of the Sanctuary where our Senior Pastor or a Second-Ponce minister will greet you with warmth and joy.

ADDITIONAL SUNDAY INFORMATION CHILDCARE DURING WORSHIP We love to see children at Second-Ponce, and we have a Kids’ Club area just for them! It's one floor up from the Sanctuary, and our greeters will be happy to show you the way. In the Kids' Club, there’s a nursery for babies through pre-K and Kids Worship for children K through 5th grade. You can take your children to Kids Worship before the service or, if you’d prefer, they can stay with you in the Sanctuary for either the entire hour or until the Doxology and then go with our children's ministry leaders. You'll pick them up in the Kids’ Club area after worship. SHARING PRAYER REQUESTS At Second-Ponce, you have a church family who welcomes the opportunity to join you in prayer. Let us know how by filling out a prayer request on the back of the pew rack card. You can drop it in the offering plate or give it to a member of the SecondPonce ministerial staff after worship. GIVING AN OFFERING Your financial support of Second-Ponce allows us to carry out the mission God has for our church. There are giving cards in the pew racks that utilize a QR code for making gifts online. You may also drop your offering in the offering plate.
