CHORAL CALL TO WORSHIP HYMN NO. 307

LASST UNS ERFREUEN All Creatures of Our God and King

WELCOME & INVOCATION SCRIPTURE

Rev. Allie Osborne Psalm 97

Bill Gabbard

Leader: The Lord is king! Let the earth rejoice; let the many coastlands be glad! Congregation: Clouds and thick darkness are all around Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Leader: Fire goes before Him, and consumes His adversaries on every side. Congregation: His lightnings light up the world; the earth sees and trembles. Leader: The mountains melt like wax before the Lord, before the Lord of all the earth. Congregation: The heavens proclaim His righteousness; and all the peoples behold His glory. Leader: All worshipers of images are put to shame, those who make their boast in worthless idols; all gods bow down before Him. Congregation: Zion hears and is glad, and the towns of Judah rejoice, because of Your judgments, O God. Leader: For You, O Lord, are most high over all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods. Congregation: The Lord loves those who hate evil; He guards the lives of His faithful; He rescues them from the hand of the wicked. Leader: Light dawns for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart. Congregation: Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous, and give thanks to His holy name! ANTHEM

John Roma and his family joined Second-Ponce in 1979 and at that time, he became a Christian and was baptized. In 1990, he joined the Sanctuary Choir and has remained a faithful member of that ministry since. As our Church Librarian for the last 22 years, you'll find John most Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings working in our library. He has served as the SPdL Historian since 2014 and remains passionate about sharing the story of our church. John decorates our Christmas trees each year, maintains the outdoor flowerbed near the plaza and decorates our picture windows by the library, among other things. John is an award-winning gardener and collects books, hats, shoes and blue & white porcelain. He and his partner, church member and talented photographer, Dave Randolph, have been together for over 10 years and their favorite thing to do is travel.

WORSHIP OF GOD WE LOVE MEETING NEW PEOPLE Welcome to worship at Second-Ponce! You belong here, and we hope you'll come back. We truly have something for everyone, and not just on Sundays. During the week, we have virtual small groups and Bible studies. Each Wednesday evening, we have Fellowship Supper, an adult discipleship study and age-appropriate activities for children and teens. Now that you know a little about us, help us get to know you better by completing the blue or green card located in the pew rack. Simply hand it to a minister or drop it in the offering plate.

HOW TO JOIN Second-Ponce enthusiastically welcomes you to make a commitment to Christ and our community of faith. At any time during the Hymn of Response, simply walk to the front of the Sanctuary where our Senior Pastor or a Second-Ponce minister will greet you with warmth and joy.

ADDITIONAL SUNDAY INFORMATION CHILDCARE DURING WORSHIP We love to see children at Second-Ponce, and we have a Kids’ Club area just for them! It's one floor up from the Sanctuary, and our greeters will be happy to show you the way. In the Kids' Club, there’s a nursery for babies through pre-K and Kids Worship for children K through 5th grade. You can take your children to Kids Worship before the service or, if you’d prefer, they can stay with you in the Sanctuary for either the entire hour or until the Doxology and then go with our children's ministry leaders. You'll pick them up in the Kids’ Club area after worship. SHARING PRAYER REQUESTS At Second-Ponce, you have a church family who welcomes the opportunity to join you in prayer. Let us know how by filling out a prayer request on the back of the pew rack card. You can drop it in the offering plate or give it to a member of the SecondPonce ministerial staff after worship. GIVING AN OFFERING Your financial support of Second-Ponce allows us to carry out the mission God has for our church. There are giving cards in the pew racks that utilize a QR code for making gifts online. You may also drop your offering in the offering plate.
