CHORAL CALL TO WORSHIP

HYMN NO. 223 Crown Him with Many Crowns DIADEMATA

WELCOME & INVOCATION Rev. Allie Osborne

SCRIPTURE Psalm 16 Bill Gabbard

Leader: Protect me, O God, for in You I take refuge. I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from You.”

Congregation: As for the holy ones in the land, they are the noble, in whom is all my delight.

Leader: Those who choose another god multiply their sorrows; their drink offerings of blood I will not pour out or take their names upon my lips.

Congregation: The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup; You hold my lot.

Leader: The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; I have a goodly heritage.

Congregation: I bless the Lord Who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me.

Leader: I keep the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

Congregation: Therefore my heart is glad, and my soul rejoices; my body also rests secure.

Leader: For You do not give me up to Sheol, or let Your faithful one see the Pit. You show me the path of life.

Congregation: In Your presence there is fullness of joy; in Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

POSTLUDE O Thou of God the Father Bach Verleen Baerg, organ

Welcome to worship at Second-Ponce! You belong here, and we hope you'll come back. We truly have something for everyone, and not just on Sundays. During the week, we have virtual small groups and Bible studies. Each Wednesday evening, we have Fellowship Supper, an adult discipleship study and age-appropriate activities for children and teens. Now that you know a little about us, help us get to know you better by completing the blue or green card located in the pew rack. Simply hand it to a minister or drop it in the offering plate.

HOW TO JOIN

Second-Ponce enthusiastically welcomes you to make a commitment to Christ and our community of faith. At any time during the Hymn of Response, simply walk to the front of the Sanctuary where our Senior Pastor or a Second-Ponce minister will greet you with warmth and joy.

ADDITIONAL SUNDAY INFORMATION

CHILDCARE DURING WORSHIP

We love to see children at Second-Ponce, and we have a Kids’ Club area just for them! It's one floor up from the Sanctuary, and our greeters will be happy to show you the way. In the Kids' Club, there’s a nursery for babies through pre-K and Kids Worship for children K through 5th grade. You can take your children to Kids Worship before the service or, if you’d prefer, they can stay with you in the Sanctuary for either the entire hour or until the Doxology and then go with our children's ministry leaders. You'll pick them up in the Kids’ Club area after worship.

SHARING PRAYER REQUESTS

SHARING HIS SPDL STORY

Dick Stumm and his late wife, Sue, joined Second-Ponce in 1971. Always supportive of the music ministry, Dick has also served as a Deacon and member of the Personnel Committee. Dick maintains an active law practice and enjoys traveling around the world to hear his violist daughter, Jennifer, perform.

At Second-Ponce, you have a church family who welcomes the opportunity to join you in prayer. Let us know by filling out a prayer request card located on the back of the pew rack. You can drop it in the offering plate or give it to a member of the SecondPonce ministerial staff after worship.

GIVING AN OFFERING

Your financial support of Second-Ponce allows us to carry out the mission God has for our church. There are giving cards in the pew racks that utilize a QR code for making gifts online. You may also drop your offering in the offering plate.
