WELCOME & INVOCATION SCRIPTURE

Dr. Joshua Scott Psalm 118:19–29

Leader: Open to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter through them and give thanks to the Lord. Congregation: This is the gate of the Lord; the righteous shall enter through it. Leader: I thank You that You have answered me and have become my salvation. Congregation: The stone that the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. Congregation: This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Leader: Save us, we beseech You, O Lord! O Lord, we beseech You, give us success! Congregation: Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord. We bless You from the house of the Lord. The Lord is God, and He has given us light. Leader: Bind the festal procession with branches, up to the horns of the altar. Congregation: You are my God, and I will give thanks to You; You are my God, I will extol You. O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever.

WE LOVE MEETING NEW PEOPLE Welcome to worship at Second-Ponce! You belong here, and we hope you'll come back. We truly have something for everyone, and not just on Sundays. During the week, we have virtual small groups and Bible studies. Each Wednesday evening, we have Fellowship Supper, an adult discipleship study and age-appropriate activities for children and teens. Now that you know a little about us, help us get to know you better by completing the blue or green card located in the pew rack. Simply hand it to a minister or drop it in the offering plate.

HOW TO JOIN

Children K–5 may leave during this time for Kids Worship. Parents, please pick up your children in room C-305 of the Kids' Club after the service.

SCRIPTURE

Leader: This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.

WORSHIP OF GOD

Bach

Second-Ponce enthusiastically welcomes you to make a commitment to Christ and our community of faith. At any time during the Hymn of Response, simply walk to the front of the Sanctuary where our Senior Pastor or a Second-Ponce minister will greet you with warmth and joy.

ADDITIONAL SUNDAY INFORMATION CHILDCARE DURING WORSHIP We love to see children at Second-Ponce, and we have a Kids’ Club area just for them! It's one floor up from the Sanctuary, and our greeters will be happy to show you the way. In the Kids' Club, there’s a nursery for babies through pre-K and Kids Worship for children K through 5th grade. You can take your children to Kids Worship before the service or, if you’d prefer, they can stay with you in the Sanctuary for either the entire hour or until the Doxology and then go with our children's ministry leaders. You'll pick them up in the Kids’ Club area after worship. SHARING PRAYER REQUESTS At Second-Ponce, you have a church family who welcomes the opportunity to join you in prayer. Let us know how by filling out a prayer request on the back of the pew rack card. You can drop it in the offering plate located in the Narthex or give it to a member of the Second-Ponce ministerial staff after worship. GIVING AN OFFERING Your financial support of Second-Ponce allows us to carry out the mission God has for our church. There are giving cards in the pew racks that utilize a QR code for making gifts online. You may also drop your offering in the offering plate.

On direction, congregation join in singing with these words: Crown him the Lord of life, Who triumphed o'er the grave, Who rose victorious in the strife for those He came to save; His glories now we sing, Who died and rose on high, Who died eternal life to bring, and lives that death may die. Crown Him the Lord of heav’n: One with the Father known, One with the Spirit through Him giv’n from yonder glorious throne. To Thee be endless praise, for Thou for us hast died, Be Thou, O Lord, through endless days Adored and magnified!

SECOND-PONCE MINISTERIAL STAFF LEADING OUR OFFERTORY PRAYER Glenn Summers joined Second-Ponce in 2005 on Christmas Day! Since that time, he has been an active member of the EEE Sunday School class and has previously served as a Deacon. Every Wednesday, you'll find Glenn and his son, Jeremy, at the Fellowship Supper front table enjoying good conversation, food and Bible study.
