CORPORATE CONFESSION OF SIN

Bill Gabbard

Holy and merciful God, in Your presence we confess our sinfulness, our shortcomings, and our offenses against You. You alone know how often we have sinned in wandering from Your ways, in wasting Your gifts, and in forgetting Your love. Have mercy on us, O Lord, for we are ashamed and repentant for all that we have done to displease You. Forgive our sins, and help us to live in Your light and walk in Your ways, for the sake of Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen. ASSURANCE OF PARDON

Bill Gabbard

If we confess our sins, He who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. OFFERTORY TESTIMONY & PRAYER OFFERTORY

BENEDICTION Written by William E. Hull | Often used by a grateful son, David W. Hull Christ go before you, To prepare a way of service; Christ go behind you, To gather up your efforts for his glory; Christ go beside you, As leader and guide; Christ go within you, As comfort and stay; Christ go beneath you, To uphold with everlasting arms; Christ go above you, To reign as Lord supreme.

The flowers on the Communion Table are given in love and gratitude for the ministry of Dr. David Hull on behalf of our church family. Thank you for your faithful service to God and to Second-Ponce.

LEADING OUR OFFERTORY PRAYER Paul Wright and his late wife Margaret joined Second Ponce in 1947. Their son and daughter were baptized here and were members through high school. Paul was a member of the Advisory Council (now defunct)—a group of young men chosen to support the Deacon body with various tasks. He has been honored as a Life Deacon and a member of EEE Sunday School class since 1950, serving one year as President.

WE'RE GLAD YOU'RE HERE Welcome to Second-Ponce! You belong here, and we hope you'll come back. We meet for worship Sundays at 11 a.m. in our beautiful Sanctuary, but if you can't be with us in person, we invite you to watch online on our Facebook page or at www.livestream.com/spdl. During the week, we have virtual small groups and Bible studies and each Wednesday, we hold a churchwide prayer call, an adult discipleship study and age-appropriate activities for children and teens. We truly have something for everyone here at Second-Ponce. Help us get to know you better by completing a Welcome Card located in the pew rack. Simply hand it to a minister or drop it in the offering plate.

HOW CAN WE PRAY FOR YOU? At Second-Ponce, you have a church family who welcomes the opportunity to join you in prayer. In fact, we consider this act an honor. Let us know how we can pray for you by filling out a Prayer Card located in the pew rack. You can drop it in the offering plate located in the Narthex or give it to a member of the Second-Ponce ministerial staff after worship.

HOW TO JOIN Second-Ponce enthusiastically welcomes you to make a commitment to Christ and our community of faith. At any time during the Hymn of Response, simply walk to the front of the Sanctuary where our Senior Pastor or a Second-Ponce minister will greet you with warmth and joy.
