HOW TO JOIN
Second-Ponce enthusiastically welcomes you to make a commitment to Christ and our community of faith. At any time during the Hymn of Response, simply walk to the front of the Sanctuary where our Senior Pastor or a Second-Ponce minister will greet you with warmth and joy.

SHARING HER SPDL STORY
Ivy Anderson has been a member of Second-Ponce for over 40 years. She currently serves as Chair of the Personnel committee and plays clarinet in our orchestra. A past active Deacon, Ivy previously taught preschool Sunday School and served two terms as our Church Clerk. She is married to David Anderson with whom she has two grown children—Whitney and Clay. Ivy retired last September after 45 years in the banking industry. She and David commute each week from Big Canoe to Second-Ponce.
We love to see children at Second-Ponce, and we have a Kids’ Club area just for them! It's one floor up from the Sanctuary, and our greeters will be happy to show you the way. In the Kids' Club, there’s a nursery for babies through pre-K and Kids Worship for children K through 5th grade. You can take your children to Kids Worship before the service or, if you’d prefer, they can stay with you in the Sanctuary for either the entire hour or until the Doxology and then go with our children's ministry leaders. You'll pick them up in the Kids’ Club area after worship.
SHARING PRAYER REQUESTS
At Second-Ponce, you have a church family who welcomes the opportunity to join you in prayer. Let us know by filling out a prayer request card located on the back of the pew rack. You can drop it in the offering plate or give it to a member of the SecondPonce ministerial staff after worship.
GIVING AN OFFERING
Your financial support of Second-Ponce allows us to carry out the mission God has for our church. There are giving cards in the pew racks that utilize a QR code for making gifts online. You may also drop your offering in the offering plate.

LENTEN DISCIPLESHIP EASTER IS COMING!
By Rev. John Uldrick, Associate Pastor
Lent is a forty-day season of prayer, fasting, and generosity that begins on Ash Wednesday and ends at sundown on the Thursday before Easter. It's a period of preparation to celebrate Christ’s Resurrection at Easter. During Lent, the church has invited believers to focus on individual discipleship practices: prayer, reading Scripture, generously giving and often practicing self-control through fasting.
The pastoral staff of Second-Ponce invites you to walk through Lent with us this year beginning with the Ash Wednesday service at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22. Consider using the monthly prayer emphasis the Discipleship Council has prepared to guide your prayer life. Consider giving an additional financial gift in honor or memory of a saint who came before you and taught you about the life of discipleship. Consider following along as we use Kate Bowler’s book, Good Enough, along with the accompanying study guide, to direct thoughts of reflection. Consider walking the prayer labyrinth as a spiritual practice on either Saturday, March 11 or Sunday March 12. Consider participating in our Maundy Thursday event on Thursday, April 6.

This season of Lent can be hard. It is a dark, but important time of focus, reflection and discipline. We have to get ready. We have to open our hearts, focus our minds and gain strength for the celebration of the truth that Christ will rise again. Guess what? Easter is coming!
ASH WEDNESDAY
Wednesday, February 22 Supper at 5 p.m. | Service at 6:15 p.m.
(Note: This service will not be online)
Join us to begin the Lenten season with supper and worship on February 22. We'll begin with Fellowship Supper (Roasted chicken, scalloped potatoes, vegetable, salad, rolls & dessert) at the usual time of 5 p.m. and then we'll move to the Chapel for an Ash Wednesday worship service. Children and youth will participate in worship, but childcare will be available. RSVP is required for supper only. Sign up by Noon Monday, February 20 at
GOOD ENOUGH BOOK STUDY
Weekly Emails Sent Sundays at 6 a.m.
Join us this Lenten season as we explore what it means to live into a faith that is imperfect yet “good enough." This phrase “good enough," from the book of the same name, is a “little shrug that takes us off the hook for perfection and reminds us that we are human.“

There are multiple ways to participate in this study. Check your inbox for the introduction email that went out this morning!
