CALL TO WORSHIP

Sunday, December 26, 2021, at 11 a.m.

A. Guilmant

Bill Gabbard

We gather to celebrate the newborn light. With family and friends we worship and adore the Christ-child. With Mary we will ponder these things in our hearts. With Joseph we will give thanks to the Lord for God’s steadfast love. Lift up your hearts in thanksgiving, for a child, the Child, has been born! We gather to worship Him and welcome His peaceful kingdom. His name will be blessed among all the earth; His reign shall have no end! Come, our wait is finished! Let us worship the newborn King! Joy to the world! The Lord is come!

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise Him in the heights! Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His host! Praise Him, sun and moon; praise Him, all you shining stars! Praise Him, you highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens! Let them praise the name of the Lord, for He commanded and they were created. He established them forever and ever; He fixed their bounds, which cannot be passed. Praise the Lord from the earth, you sea monsters and all deeps, fire and hail, snow and frost, stormy wind fulfilling His command! Mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars! Wild animals and all cattle, creeping things and flying birds! Kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all rulers of the earth! Young men and women alike, old and young together! Let them praise the name of the Lord, for His name alone is exalted; His glory is above earth and heaven. He has raised up a horn for His people, praise for all His faithful, for the people of Israel who are close to Him. Praise the Lord! MUSICAL SELECTION

WE'RE GLAD YOU'RE HERE Welcome to Second-Ponce! You belong here, and we hope you'll come back. We meet for worship Sundays at 11 a.m. in our beautiful Sanctuary and host a contemporary online worship service at 2 p.m. called All Together. You can stream them both on our Facebook page or at www.livestream.com/spdl. During the week, we have virtual small groups and Bible studies and each Wednesday, we hold a churchwide prayer call, an adult discipleship study we call SPdLU (Second-Ponce de Leon University) and age-appropriate activities for children and teens. We truly have something for everyone here at Second-Ponce. Help us get to know you better by completing a Connect card located in the pew rack. Simply hand it to a minister or drop it in the offering plate as you leave.

HOW TO JOIN Second-Ponce enthusiastically welcomes you to make a commitment to Christ and our community of faith. At any time during the Hymn of Response, simply walk to the front of the Sanctuary where our Senior Pastor or a Second-Ponce minister will greet you with warmth and joy.

HOW CAN WE PRAY FOR YOU?

Let us know how we can pray for you by filling out a prayer card located in the pew rack. You can drop it in the offering plate located in the Narthex or give it to a member of the Second-Ponce ministerial staff after worship.
