This Friday, the nation will once again observe Veteran’s Day. Now, we join in giving thanks and recognizing the service and sacrifices of countless men and women who have helped to secure our most precious freedoms, including the liberty to worship freely and openly. In hundreds of military worship services worldwide today, service members are called to worship with a bugle call. During our Church Call, please stand with those here who serve, and have served.

SHARING THEIR SPDL STORY Keith and Sandra (Sandi) Valentine have been involved with Second-Ponce since 1990 when their three children attended our preschool. The family officially joined the church three years later and raised their children to participate in various church programs, sports and choir. Some of you may remember the Grant Park spaghetti dinner ministry, an outreach opportunity for which Sandi was a volunteer. Keith is an active Deacon and member of the Missions Council. Together, they attend the Grace Sunday School class.

WELCOME & INVOCATION

WORSHIP OF GOD WE LOVE MEETING NEW PEOPLE Welcome to worship at Second-Ponce! You belong here, and we hope you'll come back. We truly have something for everyone, and not just on Sundays. During the week, we have virtual small groups and Bible studies. Each Wednesday evening, we have Fellowship Supper, an adult discipleship study and age-appropriate activities for children and teens. Now that you know a little about us, help us get to know you better by completing the blue or green card located in the pew rack. Simply hand it to a minister or drop it in the offering plate. HOW TO JOIN Second-Ponce enthusiastically welcomes you to make a commitment to Christ and our community of faith. At any time during the Hymn of Response, simply walk to the front of the Sanctuary where our Senior Pastor or a Second-Ponce minister will greet you with warmth and joy.

ADDITIONAL SUNDAY INFORMATION CHILDCARE DURING WORSHIP We love to see children at Second-Ponce, and we have a Kids’ Club area just for them! It's one floor up from the Sanctuary, and our greeters will be happy to show you the way. In the Kids' Club, there’s a nursery for babies through pre-K and Kids Worship for children K through 5th grade. You can take your children to Kids Worship before the service or, if you’d prefer, they can stay with you in the Sanctuary for either the entire hour or until the Doxology and then go with our children's ministry leaders. You'll pick them up in the Kids’ Club area after worship. SHARING PRAYER REQUESTS At Second-Ponce, you have a church family who welcomes the opportunity to join you in prayer. Let us know by filling out a prayer request card located on the back of the pew rack. You can drop it in the offering plate or give it to a member of the SecondPonce ministerial staff after worship. GIVING AN OFFERING Your financial support of Second-Ponce allows us to carry out the mission God has for our church. There are giving cards in the pew racks that utilize a QR code for making gifts online. You may also drop your offering in the offering plate.
