CHORAL CALL TO WORSHIP * Be Thou My Vision HYMN NO. 61
HYMN NO. 246 * SCRIPTURE
KREMSER Dr. Dock Hollingsworth AURELIA
The Church’s One Foundation Psalm 46
Rev. Allie Osborne
Leader: God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Congregation: Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble with its tumult. Leader: There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. Congregation: God is in the midst of the city; it shall not be moved; God will help it when the morning dawns. Leader: The nations are in an uproar, the kingdoms totter; He utters His voice, the earth melts. Congregation: The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Leader: Come, behold the works of the Lord; see what desolations He has brought on the earth. Congregation: He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow, and shatters the spear; He burns the shields with fire. Leader: “Be still, and know that I am God! I am exalted among the nations, I am exalted in the earth.” Congregation: The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. ANTHEM

SHARING HIS SPDL STORY John Roma and his family joined Second-Ponce in 1979 and, at that time, he became a Christian and was baptized. In 1990, he joined the Sanctuary Choir and has remained a faithful member of that ministry since. As leader of our library services team for the last 22 years, you'll find John most Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings working in our library. He has served as the SPdL Historian since 2014 and remains passionate about sharing the story of our church. John decorates our campus Christmas trees as well as the picture windows by the library, among other things. John is an award-winning gardener and collects books, hats, shoes and blue & white porcelain. He and his partner, church member and talented photographer, Dave Randolph, have been together for over 10 years. Their favorite thing to do is travel and they’ve visited over 25 countries! Today is John’s birthday and we hope you’ll join us in sending him best wishes for a happy day!
WE LOVE MEETING NEW PEOPLE Welcome to worship at Second-Ponce! You belong here, and we hope you'll come back. We truly have something for everyone, and not just on Sundays. During the week, we have virtual small groups and Bible studies. Each Wednesday evening, we have Fellowship Supper, an adult discipleship study and age-appropriate activities for children and teens. Now that you know a little about us, help us get to know you better by completing the blue or green card located in the pew rack. Simply hand it to a minister or drop it in the offering plate. HOW TO JOIN Second-Ponce enthusiastically welcomes you to make a commitment to Christ and our community of faith. At any time during the Hymn of Response, simply walk to the front of the Sanctuary where our Senior Pastor or a Second-Ponce minister will greet you with warmth and joy.
ADDITIONAL SUNDAY INFORMATION CHILDCARE DURING WORSHIP We love to see children at Second-Ponce, and we have a Kids’ Club area just for them! It's one floor up from the Sanctuary, and our greeters will be happy to show you the way. In the Kids' Club, there’s a nursery for babies through pre-K and Kids Worship for children K through 5th grade. You can take your children to Kids Worship before the service or, if you’d prefer, they can stay with you in the Sanctuary for either the entire hour or until the Doxology and then go with our children's ministry leaders. You'll pick them up in the Kids’ Club area after worship. SHARING PRAYER REQUESTS At Second-Ponce, you have a church family who welcomes the opportunity to join you in prayer. Let us know by filling out a prayer request card located on the back of the pew rack. You can drop it in the offering plate or give it to a member of the SecondPonce ministerial staff after worship. GIVING AN OFFERING Your financial support of Second-Ponce allows us to carry out the mission God has for our church. There are giving cards in the pew racks that utilize a QR code for making gifts online. You may also drop your offering in the offering plate.
