LEADING OUR OFFERTORY PRAYER Jim George has been a deacon at Second Ponce since 1991 and currently chairs the Stewardship Development Committee. He has served in the past in outreach to new members, as well as on the Offertory Committee and the Building Committee. He and his wife, Patti, have been members since 1982 and raised their two sons here.

Jim is retired from Cousins Properties and from the Navy Reserve, but he continues to work as a consultant in the management of large commercial real estate development projects.

WE'RE GLAD YOU'RE HERE Welcome to Second-Ponce! You belong here, and we hope you'll come back. We meet for worship Sundays at 11 a.m. in our beautiful Sanctuary and host a contemporary online worship service at 2 p.m. called All Together. You can stream them both on our Facebook page or at www.livestream.com/spdl. During the week, we have virtual small groups and Bible studies and each Wednesday, we hold a churchwide prayer call and an adult discipleship study we call SPdLU (Second-Ponce de Leon University). We truly have something for everyone here at Second-Ponce.

IN THE LIFE OF OUR CHURCH STEWARDSHIP: THE MULTIPLICATION TABLE In the miracle of the loaves and fish, Jesus took the lunch of one boy, multiplied it and fed thousands with leftovers to spare. In this same way, God multiplies our gifts in ways we can’t imagine to do the work of His kingdom. When you give as you are able, God continues to multiply and work miracles.

You should have received a pledge sheet in the mail, but copies are available in the Welcome Center and online at spdl. org/pledge. Our goal for this year is $1.5 million from 150 pledges. We ask you to begin prayerfully considering your pledge for this year. What will be your gift to The Multiplication Table?

FELLOWSHIP SUPPER TRIAL RUN PART 2 Wednesday, October 13 | 5 p.m. | Fellowship Hall & Plaza This Wednesday is part two of our two-week Fellowship Supper trial run. We know a good many of our members are not yet comfortable eating meals in public so we're committing to a twoweek test of our Wednesday night meal after which we'll evaluate if the time is right to make a full return to this beloved event. The menu will be meatloaf, mac and cheese, green beans, salad and assorted desserts, and is available for $8/adult and $5/child. You may pay by check or exact amount. To reduce the risk of transmission, we will not be making change. RSVP to guarantee a meal by emailing Tiffany Baumstark in the church office at tbaumstark@spdl.org. RSVP deadline is Monday, October 11 at Noon.

IN THE LIFE OF OUR CHURCH CHURCH IN CONFERENCE Sunday, October 24 | After the 11 a.m. worship service Make a special note on your calendar for our Church in Conference on Sunday, October 24, immediately following the 11 am service. It will be a hybrid meeting with participation opportunities in person and online. A boxed lunch will be available for $5 per person for those joining us in the Fellowship Hall. All participants please RSVP by contacting Tiffany Baumstark in the church office at tbaumstark@spdl.org. This is an important meeting where we’ll review the 2022 budget and elect our leaders for the coming year. We need 100 church members to participate to meet quorum.

TRUNK OR TREAT Join us for a fun afternoon with activities for the whole family!

Grab your costumes and your candy bucket and come to the Second-Ponce parking lot Saturday, October 30 from 4-6 p.m. for our annual Trunk or Treat! Not only will this be a great time with food, music and games, but it will also be a wonderful way to reach out to the community together! Our goal is to make this event as safe as possible for participants and volunteers using the COVID safety protocols for outdoor activities developed by the CDC. We can’t wait to be with you and celebrate our community at this fun fall event!

SENIOR ADULT APPLE TRIP Thursday, October 21 | 9 a.m.–4 p.m.

Join us for our annual apple trip to the Dillard House and Jaemor Farms! The bus will depart Second-Ponce at 9 a.m. and return around 4 p.m. We’ll have a delicious lunch, pick up some yummy apples and best of all, we’ll do it together! The cost of the trip is $30.
