Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion! For He strengthens the bars of your gates; He blesses your children within you. He grants peace within your borders; He fills you with the finest of wheat. He sends out His command to the earth; His word runs swiftly. He gives snow like wool; He scatters frost like ashes. He hurls down hail like crumbs— who can stand before His cold? He sends out His word, and melts them; He makes His wind blow, and the waters flow. He declares His word to Jacob, His statutes and ordinances to Israel. He has not dealt thus with any other nation; they do not know His ordinances. Praise the Lord! CHILDREN'S SERMON ANTHEM

WORSHIP OF GOD Sunday, January 2, 2021, at 11 a.m. WE'RE GLAD YOU'RE HERE Welcome to Second-Ponce! You belong here, and we hope you'll come back. We meet for worship Sundays at 11 a.m. in our beautiful Sanctuary, but if you can't be with us in person, we invite you to watch online on our Facebook page or at www.livestream.com/spdl. During the week, we have virtual small groups and Bible studies and each Wednesday, we hold a churchwide prayer call, an adult discipleship study we call SPdLU (Second-Ponce de Leon University) and age-appropriate activities for children and teens. We truly have something for everyone here at Second-Ponce. Help us get to know you better by completing a Connect card located in the pew rack. Simply hand it to a minister or drop it in the offering plate as you leave.
HOW TO JOIN Second-Ponce enthusiastically welcomes you to make a commitment to Christ and our community of faith. At any time during the Hymn of Response, simply walk to the front of the Sanctuary where our Senior Pastor or a Second-Ponce minister will greet you with warmth and joy.
LEADING OUR OFFERTORY PRAYER Duncan Harle, a member of Second Ponce for over eighteen years, serves as the new Chair of the Board of Deacons for 2022. He teaches in the Bridge Builders Sunday School class, has served on the recent Lay Leadership Reorganization Task Force and has periodically run a camera for the TV Ministry. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Sharon, and their daughter, Maria, as well as reading and working out in the gym. As a lawyer, he represents injured people here in Atlanta.
HOW CAN WE PRAY FOR YOU? At Second-Ponce, you have a church family who welcomes the opportunity to join you in prayer. In fact, we consider this act an honor. Let us know how we can pray for you by filling out a prayer card located in the pew rack. You can drop it in the offering plate located in the Narthex or give it to a member of the Second-Ponce ministerial staff after worship.
GIVING TO SECOND-PONCE Your financial support of Second-Ponce allows us to carry out the mission God has for our church. We're grateful for your faithfulness to give as you are able. There are giving cards in the pew racks that utilize a QR code for making gifts online. You may also drop your offering in the offering plate located in the Narthex after the service.
