All districts had an average of 14.5 new homes on the market aside from the North Shore area, which had a total of 23 new listings.

In addition to the highest amount of new listings in August, the North Shore district doubled their amount of closings this month with 32 homes sold in comparison to July's numbers.

Average sale prices dropped slightly from July for August except for the Glen Cove area, which increased by $200k. Locust Valley maintained the priciest total with an average of $1.5 million in August.

A catastophic fire broke our on Tuesday, August 24th, destroying the headquarters of NOSH and the North Shore Soup Kitchen. Their food pantry had operated out of the building since April, and serves over 600 families on the North Shore each week.
