The market has started to slow down for the winter season as new inventory in the North Shore districts have dropped by almost 50% from September to October.
The number of closings in the area remained about the same for the month of October with about 20 - 25 homes sold in each district.
The average sale price in the North Shore district dropped below $1 million for the first time since July. Locust Valley had the priciest sales in October with an average of $1.4 million.
