South African Indies (SA Indies) is an umbrella brand for South African independent filmmakers and companies, established by the Association for Transformation in Film and Television (ATFT) for their delegations sponsored by the department of trade and industry (DTI) to international film and television markets. The facilities and networks ATFT has at these international markets can be used by any South African independent filmmakers and companies and include stand or booth space to host meetings, wi fi at markets, coffee and other refreshments, AV equipment to play promos or trailers, umbrella stand reduced rate accreditation at certain markets such as MIPCOM and MMIPTV, logo display on the stands or booths, PR and marketing inclusion at certain markets and a catalogue of projects and companies attending the markets from South Africa available at the stand as well as online.
