Monthly Recap

Parent Toddlers

September was a month filled with fun , learning , and celebration ! From festive traditions to meaningful experiences , our children explored , discovered , and enjoyed every moment . With activities that blended culture , creativity , and curiosity , the month was truly alive with joy and togetherness Here ’ s a glimpse into the memorable events we celebrated at our learning space .

Children were introduced to the many forms of coconut , whole coconuts , tender coconuts , and refreshing coconut water . Their excitement bubbled over as they curiously tapped and tried to “ crack ” the tender coconut to see what was inside . The moment coconut water was offered , the children couldn ’ t resist sipping it again and again , delighting in its sweet taste .

Onam Celebration

Our learning space bloomed with the festive spirit of Onam as children arrived dressed in beautiful traditional attire . Together , they joyfully decorated a colourful pookolam , filling the atmosphere with warmth and celebration Educators performed a graceful traditional dance , followed by music that set the tone for little feet to join in . Partnering with peers , the children danced with delight , experiencing the essence of togetherness

World Literacy Day

To mark World Literacy Day, children were treated to a joyful puppet show that brought stories to life Their giggles, wide eyes, and claps filled the room, making it a truly memorable storytelling experience

Mystery Reader

A surprise guest, one of our Ruh parents, stepped in as our Mystery Reader and captivated the children with the story The Very Busy Spider. With the help of charming props, she made the narration come alive, sparking wonder and joy in the little ones as they listened and engaged with the tale. ”

Eye Check - Up

As part of our health and wellness initiative, a team of doctors from The Eye Foundation conducted eye screening for our li’l Ruh’lers. This preventive check helped ensure their healthy vision and overall well-being

Field Trip

Our much-awaited field trip took the children to the Gandhi Memorial The bus ride itself was filled with excitement, songs, and laughter At the museum, the children were introduced to India’s historic figures and glimpsed the life of Mahatma Gandhi, enriching their understanding of history in a tangible way

Navratri

We celebrated Navratri with colours, music, and devotion Children were part of the festivities with traditional songs, stories, and joyful activities that captured the spirit of the season. As part of the celebration, the children were taken to the puja room to see the beautiful golu display. The story of Dussehra was narrated to them, helping them understand the significance of the festival in an engaging and age-appropriate way. The children were especially delighted to spot their own toys in the golu. Adding to the festive mood, the educators performed a lively Garba dance, which brought smiles and excitement to the children. Inspired by the rhythm and energy, the children then joined in and danced together with the educators, making it a truly joyful and memorable celebration for all.

September at Ruh blossomed into a month of colour and joy, where each day brought new discoveries, festive celebrations, and meaningful moments for our Ruh’lers. We began with Coconut Week, where Ruh’lers explored the many sides of this versatile fruit They touched its husk and shell, tasted refreshing coconut water, and even participated in a simple food-preparation activity that turned exploration into hands-on learning

Toddlers

The spirit of tradition came alive during our Onam celebration Dressed in festive attire, Ruh’lers helped create beautiful floral arrangements, enjoyed cultural stories, and sang traditional songs, experiencing the joy of community and heritage.

On World Literacy Day, the Ruhftop turned magical with a puppet show of The Star That Fell From The Sky, which captured every child’s imagination. A special Mystery Reader session, where a parent read The Very Busy Spider using creative props, made the day even more exciting and strengthened the bond between home and school

Throughout the month, our Ruh’lers regularly participated in food preparation activities, where they practised simple recipes, developed fine motor skills, and enjoyed the joy of creating and tasting their own dishes

The month also included experiences that nurtured awareness and reflection. A routine eye check-up ensured our Ruh’lers’ well-being, while a field trip to the Gandhi Memorial gave them an opportunity to observe Gandhiji’s belongings his glasses, sandals, and utensils, bringing history and values closer to their world.

We ended September with the colourful festivities of Navaratri After visiting a traditional Golu display, Ruh’lers created their own Ruh’lers Golu in the learning space, arranging toys they had brought from home. With songs, dance, and devotion, the celebration reflected the joy of togetherness and creativity

September was truly a month where culture, learning, and community came together, giving our Ruh’lers meaningful experiences to cherish.

Ruh Bridge

September at Ruh carried forward the spirit of joy, discovery, and celebration The month began with ‘Coconut Week’ , where Ruh’lers explored the many uses of this versatile fruit, tasting, touching, and culminating with a delightful food preparation activity that brought learning to life The Onam celebration filled the learning environment with floral designs, traditional attire, and cultural stories, allowing Ruh’lers to experience the richness of tradition through song and festivity

Clay Creations & Cosy Conversations

This September, we wrapped up the term with a truly special clayful morning, a hand pottery session where parents got creative with clay, hands-on and fully immersed. With gentle sips of chai and creative energy in the air, everyone poured their love and enthusiasm into crafting keepsakes that will be cherished for a lifetime.

The morning was filled with laughter, cheer, and the simple joy of learning a new skill. The breezy weather made it all the more refreshing, turning our little pottery session into a therapeutic pause from everyday life They came together to create, connect, and celebrate, leaving behind memories as beautiful as the clay they shaped

As they admired their creations at the end of the session, their hearts were full and their smiles were wide. It was a delightful reminder that joy often comes from the simplest, most shared moments.
