Exploring, Creating, and Growing Together This October

Diwali at the Ruh ’ ftop : A Celebration of Light , Love and Togetherness

This year’s Diwali celebration at the Ruh Early Years was nothing short of magical! Our incredible Ruh parents lit up the stage with heartwarming performances that beautifully captured the spirit of the festival The celebration began with a captivating performance that brought the tale of Diwali to life in a way that was perfectly tailored for our little Ruh’lers-simple, engaging and full of wonder! Through expressive narration and playful interactions, the children were gently introduced to the deeper meaning of Diwali: the triumph of light over darkness, kindness over fear, and love over everything.

As the story unfolded, wide-eyed smiles and curious giggles filled the air, culminating in a vibrant dance performance that had everyone swaying with joy. The energy was infectious and the message was clear-Diwali is not just about lights and sweets, but about coming together, celebrating goodness and sharing joy.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the parents who poured their time , creativity , and love into making this celebration so special . Your efforts did not just delight the children , they deeply touched the entire Ruh team , making this Diwali a truly memorable one for all of us

A special moment that warmed every heart was when our Director joined the festivities , dancing alongside parents in a joyful finale that celebrated unity , community and the beautiful bond we share at Ruh It was a powerful reminder that when we come together with intention and love , we create magic , not just for our children , but for ourselves too

Mindful ParentWISE Session with Mr . Sairam : A Heartfelt Experience

This month, our Ruh community had the privilege of attending a truly enriching session on mindful parenting, led by our passionate Ruh parent, Mr. Sairam Natarajan. With warmth and wisdom, he guided us through the powerful connection between a parent’s emotional state and a child’s developing brain. Through engaging neuroscience insights and relatable real-life examples, Mr. Sairam illuminated how cultivating calm within ourselves can foster emotional resilience and self-regulation in our children.

The session was not only informative but deeply moving-reminding us that parenting is as much about presence and empathy as it is about guidance. Mr. Sairam’s dedication to redefining mental health care and creating safe, supportive spaces for families was felt in every moment. We left inspired, empowered and more connected to our children and ourselves

Parent Notes

The Power of Peer Learning (by

Ms VishwaPriya, Ruh’ler Mom)

Having kids in mixed age groups at Ruh has immense benefits for both the older and younger children . The younger ones ’ ‘ want ’ for communication increases , eventually they graduate from crying for their needs to asking for them . They also start talking earlier .

The want for learning increases for the younger ones as they see the older ones working with different material . They understand routine , taking turns and end up throwing less tantrums The older kids act like responsible adults and sometimes even handle the younger ones the way they were handled for eg : “ wait for your turn ” , “ one by one ” , “ next time do not do this ” They also tend to show a lot of empathy towards the younger ones . It builds a lot of creativity in their play as well If routine gets boring for the older one seeing the younger children
