Empowering Teacher Leadership at Ruh

This initiative reflects our commitment to continuous learning and nurturing an environment where both teachers and students thrive as lifelong learners

At Ruh, we foster a dynamic culture of collaborative inquiry where educators actively lead learning through action research, reflection, and innovation Our recent Face-to-Face IB Professional Development workshop, facilitated by official IB representatives, served as a meaningful platform to strengthen leadership capacity and deepen our collective understanding of the Primary Years Programme (PYP). The sessions encouraged educators to connect theory with practice, engage in purposeful dialogue, and align their professional growth with Ruh’ s ongoing IB journey.

Tradition Through Language and Drama

LanguageLearning

Through this engaging dramatization, learners not only celebrated an important cultural festival but also developed confidence, teamwork, and communication skills The experience helped them connect with tradition in meaningful ways, blending language, music, and performance. The celebration concluded with applause and smiles, leaving everyone inspired by the values of courage, righteousness, and compassion embodied in the Ramayana.

The learners of Grades 1 and 2 brought the timeless epic Ramayana to life during the school’ s Dussehra celebration The event began with the recitation of a Sanskrit śloka that beautifully summarized the story of Lord Rama, followed by its English narration to help everyone understand the essence of the tale As the verses unfolded, learners enthusiastically enacted key episodes, including Rama’ s exile, Sita’ s abduction, Hanuman’ s bravery, and the victory over Ravana Their expressive performances captivated the audience and conveyed the enduring message of good triumphing over evil.

Celebrating the Joy of Learning: Vidyarambham

The warm and engaging atmosphere reflected Ruh’ s commitment to holistic education, where values, culture, and learning come together harmoniously. Beyond marking a milestone, Vidyarambham also served as a wonderful opportunity to strengthen the bond between home and school, highlighting the importance of parental involvement in early education The event truly inspired confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love for learning among our young learners, setting a positive tone for their educational journey ahead.

Roots of Ruh

PlantationDrive

When our elders wish us for our birthdays, they give their blessings saying "Have a prosperous life, Live Long" , and we at Ruh presented an opportunity for our learners and educators to add to the prosperity of our Earth. The Ruh'lers went for their second plantation drive at the Periyakulam lake and planted saplings and used their little hands to create a big impact, adding to the greenery of our town.

EnvironmentalAwareness

Besides this they also added to their birthday celebration by singing a self composed song titled "Grow grow little seed" that told the tale of a sprout, into a tree with the help of sunshine and water

This practice will help them remember that as they grow older, so will those trees, providing shade and home many lives. In some years, you walk along the Periyakulam lake, and you find yourself under the shade blossoming hedges, remember that our little Ruhlers planted them
