Rotary Theme of the Month

January is dedicated to the Avenue of Vocational Service. Paul Harris wrote: "Each Rotarian is a connecting link between the idealism of Rotary and their trade or profession". It is the shared responsibility of both the Rotary Club and its members. During January, Rotarians are encouraged to focus on this important avenue of Rotary service. Discussions on vocational service can lead to projects that not only develop the ethical consciousness and vocational skills of Rotarians but also the talents within their communities. Vocational Service Month is an opportunity to begin year-long vocational service activities, ranging from Rotary discussions to awards to community projects.

The crystal clear sky, snow-capped mountain view, night trekking, sunrise to sunset, snowfall, beautiful campsites, and distinct culture of locals. The whole journey thrilled me with icy routes, verdant pine woods, and varying temperatures from 20 degrees Celsius to - 5 at the night! It was a 22 km tiring, exhaustive trek for 5 days but at the end, standing at a height of roughly 12,500 feet, the Kedarkantha pinnacle is the magnificent mountain peak lodged in the Himalayas of Uttrakhand”.
