Hello, lovely readers!
We are thrilled to release the September edition of Tarang! This month, we saw many impactful projects which have been the talk of the town, including Ganeshotsava and ICGF. This edition is a special one, as it is a joint newsletter with the Rotaract Club of Delhi Pegasus, and the Rotaract Club of Belgaum Yuva Darpan!
Let us keep our Rotaract spirits high and continue working on meaningful projects. We urge all our members to actively participate in all events and projects as it will create a larger impact on society if we have more hands joining together to make a difference. We also encourage our members to make use of Tarang’s special column, RCB’s Got Talent, where we celebrate anything you have achieved in your personal or professional life, or anything you have created or done, like paintings, poems, cooking new dishes, or photography. It can be anything at all and we love seeing our members accessing their creative side!
We have also incorporated a quiz based on the Rotary Theme of the Month to inform you of a new topic every month and increase engagement within our club. Fill out the short quiz to win a small token of appreciation from the Editorial Team!
We hope you enjoy reading the September edition of Tarang as much as we enjoyed creating and designing it for you!

Rtr. Ria Jain Editor Rtr. Ashutosh Kumar Publications HeadSeptember is Basic Education and Literacy Month. We support education for all children and literacy for children and adults. Worldwide, 67 million children have no access to education, and more than 775 million people over 15 are illiterate. Rotarians support educational projects that provide technology, teacher training, vocational training teams, student meal programs, and low-cost textbooks to communities. Our goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase adult literacy. Here’s a short and fun quiz for you to fill out! https://forms.gle/j7VqEJmc1WDacj2B8
Ganeshotsav was a spiritual and fun-filled celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi. On 3rd September, we collaborated with the Rotaract Club of Nagarbhavi, Rotaract Club of Nagasandra, Rotaract Club of RUAS, Rotaract Club of Chandra Layout, and Rotaract Club of Phoenix Nagarbhavi and we hosted Ganeshotsav with Rotaract Club of Nagarjuna College and Rotaract Club of KSSEM. The day began with Ganesha Pratistapana; followed by pooja. We had lunch and we interacted with the students at RBV. After lunch, we played some games and cricket with the students to keep them entertained. We ended the day perfectly with Visargan Pooja and the distribution of prasadam.
On 4th September, the project “ Bringing awareness on Mental health care” was conducted in association with Fika Psycare as part of RCB’s professional development service avenue. Fika Psycae’s mission is to promote mental healthcare for people of various ages through an array of programs and services for their personal and professional development. They also strive to provide a platform for other mental health professionals to enhance their skills and help them gain experience in the field of psychology. The session brushed up on the basics of mental health, the importance of mental health, the building blocks of mental health, and ways to take care of mental health. The session started by explaining what is mental health, and the types of emotions like sadness, happiness, loneliness, anger, calmness, and many more. The psychologists of Fika Psycare explained how the stigma around mental health should be broken and going to therapy is normal especially when one is not feeling good mentally. They helped us understand the tools of self-care like meditation, physical exercises, journaling, setting boundaries, indulging in activities that bring us joy, socializing with friends and family, eating healthy food, etc.

Rtr. Sahana went scuba diving in Netrani Island, Murudeshwar for the first time! She said, “Life underwater- a serene, mysterious & scary. As I dive into the water, for the first 5 mins, I was half scared. But as I slowly sank down, equalizing my ears, I began to take shape. About 10 to 12 meters down, the life that exists is totally magical. In around 40 mins, we witnessed uncountable fishes, colorful corals, and eels. The pufferfish out of nowhere made its appearance right in front of me. Indeed, marine life is incredible and discoveries are endless!”
Rtr. Kavitha James earned the Rising Star Award for her contribution to the HR Department at Algorics, Mahadevapura!
