February has been an exciting month, full of action and surprises, ranging from the DOV to the announcement of the President-Elect for the year 2023-24! (PSA: Read further to know who it is :) ) We continue publishing the records of our events to encourage our members to participate in all our events, whether online or offline. We also encourage our dear members to be a patron of our column, RCB’s Got Talent, which proudly showcases your accomplishments, creations, travel pics, pictures of your hobbies, and any awards you may have won personally or professionally. The sky’s the limit!

EVENTS
DOV (DRR’s Official Visit)
The DRR's District Official Visit was held at the Rotary House of Friendship on February 18th. In the Closed Door Meeting, the President, Vice President, Secretary, Joint Secretary, and Treasurer discussed the club’s administration, funds, and membership dues both club and RI. We got feedback from the District Team on our overall performance. In the BOD meeting, we discussed the projects held by our club in the past 8 months, the Treasury report, and the feedback from the Board of Directors about the club and district. In the GBM, we have showcased a detailed version of what we achieved in the past 8 months as a presentation which included projects, attendance, funds, treasury, avenue reports, and so on. We have recognized and awarded members of the quarters, and the month by issuing certificates. To conclude the DOV, the Secretary announced the upcoming projects of the club, and the meeting was adjourned.
Pictionary
On 9th February, the Club Service team organized an online fellowship meet, where all our members played Pictionary on skribbl.io! We had an icebreaker quiz about the past events of our club, then we played Pictionary. It was a wholesome and fun-filled experience as we discovered creative minds in our club!
Mic Drop: Episode 11
On 16th February, we hosted the 11th episode of Mic Drop. The interview started streaming live on Instagram with both the interviewee and interviewer present. To start with, the interviewer, Rtr. Ria Jain, introduced our interviewee, DRRE Rtr. Sathma Jayasinghe. Rtr. Sathma began by explaining her motivation to join the Rotaract movement and remain a part of it for this long. She then went on to tell how important it was for every individual to retain their own personalities and views in a vast movement like this, where it’s very easy to get overwhelmed by numerous factors. She then took us through the moments leading to her being announced as the DRRE and the aftermath of it. Sathma also gave us a peek into what a day in her life looks like and followed it up with a nostalgic moment from her childhood. As the interview progressed, she talked about her presidential year, and her favorite project and answered a bunch of fun rapid-fire questions. The interview was wrapped up with a message from Sathma and her mic drop moment.
Mic Drop: Episode 12
On 28th February, we hosted the 12th episode of Mic Drop. The interview started streaming live on Instagram with both the interviewee and interviewer present. To start with, the interviewer, Rtr. Malavika, introduced our interviewee, Rtr. Keerthi Vivek. Keerthi then took over to explain why he joined Rotaract and how his Rotaract journey has spanned a decade contrary to his initial plan of a year. He also went on to explain how it was important for individuals in this movement to be themselves and keep an open mind to all the inputs given. Keerthi later spoke about his weekday routine and how Rotaract occupies his weekend. This was followed up by him expressing how travelling was his favourite thing to do and how he likes to keep himself busy and engaged most of the time. His reply on his favourite childhood moment brought a smile from on audience faces and lightened the flow of the interview. As the interview progressed, he also spoke about his presidential year, his experience being the DRR and his favourite project. The interview was wrapped up with a message from Keerthi to his fellow Rotaractors and his mic drop moment.
Quality Life
Rotaract Club of Bangalore collaborated with the Rotaract Club of Sathyamba on a joint international webinar series, from the 13th to 16th of February, called ‘Quality Life’, which addressed relevant topics from socio-economics, health and wellness, corporate life, and humanities.
On 13th February, Adv. Swapna elucidated the basics of the law in India, contract laws, corporate laws, and the importance of thoroughly reading and understanding a contract before signing it.
On 14th February, Ms. Swetha, a social activist explained the heartbreaking realities faced by the transgender community in India, which helped us open our eyes to another perspective and filled us with empathy for the community.
On 15th February, Ms. Steffi, a mental health expert, explained the different types of situations humans find themselves in, how to feel and address emotions, how to act in difficult situations, and how to treat others with empathy and kindness.
On 16th February, Mr. Vedhanth, a software engineer, shared his experience working as an engineer in the IT sector and enlightened us on the technical skills needed to work in this field. He also spoke about the future of IT and how it will change the world as we see it.
Stress Management
We are faced with different stressors in our life, each affecting our health in direct or indirect ways. To combat this, we collaborated with the Rotaract Club of Marathahalli on the 25th of February on a webinar under the Professional Development Avenue. The guest speaker, Ms. Isabel S Kulakudy, an expert on stress management, addressed the problems caused by mismanaging stress and how we can better manage our stress.

She is the Vice President of the Rotaract Club of Bangalore for this year and has been the Secretary of the club in 2021. RCB'S GOT TALENT
Completion of Level 2 of RLI
On 12th February, Rtn. Rtr. Pragya Jain completed the 2nd level of the Rotary Leadership Institute program held at Bhawan Bangalore Press School! The Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) is a multi-district, grassroots leadership development program. RLI seeks to have Rotary Clubs in its member districts identify those Rotarians who appear to have the potential for future club leadership and provide them with a quality education in Rotary knowledge and leadership skills.
1.Life imitates Art
Rtr. Chaula Dixit drew a beautiful feather and recycled an Old Monk bottle by creating art out of it. It was her first time painting on a bottle and she used her creativity to the max!
1.Certificates Galore!
Our brand new member, Rtr. Gulnar Kohli completed her internship at All About Psychologyy! She successfully completed 3 months of training and internship in Clinical disorders from 3rd September to 31st December 2022
