erry Zhu, Manager People & JOfficer, Culture, Peter Luo, Chief Financial and Victor Wu, General Manager, raised the Chinese flag at the Rosebel Gold Mines site on February 1, 2023.

Not long before this, representa�ves of the IAMGOLD management team lowered the IAMGOLD and Canadian flags. The hois�ng of the Chinese flag symbolized the acquisi�on of Rosebel Gold Mines by Zijin Mining Group.

n early July, OS Marchallkreek Iseveral (elementary school) received sports equipment, including soccer balls. This gesture arose a�er some management members learned about the shortage of sports materials.

Carol Wens, Community Rela�ons Officer, on behalf of the Management and CRD, conducted the handover to the sub-chief.

Rosebell Gold Mines Workers TnewheOrganiza�on (RGWO) received a office on August 30. The office was renovated and par�ally furnished by the Rosebel Management and handed over to the RGWO. n March 9, the new Rosebel O Management, comprising Victor Wu, Peter Luo, and Jerry Finisie, formally introduced themselves to the Tradi�onal Authority.

In that same month, on March 14, Mill 2 achieved two years without any Lost Time Accidents (LTA).

ine Maintenance achieved 1500 M days without Lost Time Accidents (LTA) on September 5.

"Safety always comes first," stated Earn Karta, Maintenance Assistant Superintendent.

The collec�ve labor agreement (cao) for 2023-2025 was signed at the headquarters in Paramaribo on September 12.

The Summer Job project concluded on September 15. 29 students gained on-site work experience for a month across various departments.

s we approach the end of 2023, I would like to take a moment to look back at our collec�ve accomplishments over the past year. From the start of the transi�on from IAMGOLD to Zijin early this year, you have shown unwavering dedica�on and invaluable support, making this transi�on as seamless and smooth as possible despite all obstacles and challenges throughout the year. Your commitment has been the driving force behind our success, and we are very grateful for your hard work and resilience. I am truly comforted knowing that I can count on all of you, regardless of the issues we face.

Amidst the challenges faced throughout the year, you have been instrumental in transforming our workplace from one of uncertainty to a beacon of new life and hope for a brighter future. As we acknowledge our past contribu�ons, it is crucial to set our sights on the priori�es that will shape our path in the coming year.

In terms of Opera�ons, owing to all of the departmental team efforts and the implementa�on of several con�nuous improvement ini�a�ves in various opera�onal areas, we observed a posi�ve upward trend in our output throughout the year. In Mining, we no�ced more precise Geological data for ore control and faster cycle �mes for loading and transporta�on. Having improved haul roads, we saved on �re costs and decreased business disrup�ons caused by weather by up to 60%, not to men�on the reduc�on in back-related injuries among our numerous operators. Team, keep up the good job!

In the Mill, an increased emphasis and ongoing focus on maintenance and repair has allowed a greater throughput of ore and an increase in recovery, a job well done to all involved!

A newly ra�fied Collec�ve Labor Agreement has increased benefits for RGM employees, and we are currently working on merit-based rewards for excep�onal performance at work, leading not only to heightened employee sa�sfac�on but also to enhanced professional growth opportuni�es.

08. JUBILEE CELEBRATION 2023

Jubilee Celebration 2023 nce again this year, the Jubilee Celebration was one to never forget. The 2023 jubilee celebration was exceptionally special as it was the first time it was organized under the auspices of Zijin Rosebel. Therefore, the Jubilee Organization Committee had one task: make this event the most unforgettable!

In addition to the customary Jubilee Award Ceremony, it was decided to treat the jubilarians to a Lion Dance. This performance was well-received. Providing background and foreground music was Neo Souls. His saxophone made you float, momentarily forgetting all your worries. Later in the evening, during dinner, Zoe Hunswijk entertained with his soothing

voice. This segment concluded with OG Sensation, but not before we also raffled off several prizes including Samsung Galaxy A54 phones, a JBL Channel Soundbar, and an LG 55” television.The festivities closed with a fireworks display.

Rosebel's Commitment to Safety and Environmental Standards: ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Renewals

I

n a demonstra�on of unwavering commitment to safety and environmental standards, Rosebel successfully renewed its ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 cer�ficates this year.

These audits are conducted by the Canadian cer�fica�on organiza�on SGS (Société Générale de Surveillance).

During the cer�fica�on process, SGS verifies if the RGM management system complies with the standards.

ISO 45001 is an Occupa�onal Health and Safety Management Standard, which provides a system for measuring and improving an organiza�on's health and safety impact.

According to Vishand Bhajan, RGM Health and Safety Superintendent, this accomplishment not only reinforces the company's dedica�on to the well-being of

its workforce but also marks a significant milestone in its transi�on from the OHSAS 18001 norm to the more comprehensive ISO 45001 standard. “This displays Rosebel Gold Mines's commitment to protec�ng the environment and providing a workplace where the risk of illness or injury to workers, community, or customers is eliminated or minimalized,” he said.

ISO 14001 is an interna�onally agreed standard that sets out the requirements for an environmental management system. It helps organiza�ons improve their environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and waste reduc�on. With the ISO 14001 – 2015 cer�fica�on it is confirmed that RGM meets the interna�onally accepted standard for a good environmental management system. Rachel Pollack, RGM Environmental Superintendent, explained the compliance requirements: “We have been cer�fied since December 2005, meaning that RGM is now in its 7th cycle of cer�fica�on (20232026). With the change of ownership, the company needed an updated and signed HSS Policy by the new General Manager and updated

documenta�on with the new templates related to our Environmental Management System. These are documents such as procedures, work instruc�ons, forms, JHA’s, and checklists. We’ve also had to complete all relevant audits, Management Review and all records related to our conformance ac�vi�es such as audit reports, inspec�on reports, training records, monitoring data records and department reports.”

By renewing both the ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 cer�ficates, Rosebel showcases its holis�c approach to responsible business prac�ces, priori�zes the safety and well-being of its workforce, and also takes ac�ve steps to minimize its environmental footprint. These cer�fica�ons not only validate Rosebel's adherence to interna�onal standards but also assure stakeholders, customers, and the community of its dedica�on to occupa�onal safety and environmental responsibility.

The cer�ficates are issued for 3 years, and a re-cer�fica�on audit will occur before expira�on. To ensure the con�nual effec�veness of our safety management system, the company is also commi�ed to yearly external surveillance audits.

Rosebel donates three mooring facili�es to the local community

he village communi�es of Nieuw Lombe, Moendjekiiki, and Kapasikele witnessed the official handover of three docking piers by the Rosebel Community Fund (RCF) to the tradi�onal authori�es of the aforemen�oned villages on December 15th. In the presence of the public, these public structures were formally inaugurated by the tradi�onal authori�es with lemonade and well wishes.

Before the opening of the mooring facili�es, a few brief speeches were delivered in the community house.

These short speeches emphasized the significance of good mooring facili�es for communi�es living along the river.

District Commissioner Ludwig Mendelzoon highlighted the importance of having proper facili�es for residents to dock their boats.

According to local authori�es, a

significant por�on of goods and services transporta�on occurs on water, making it essen�al for all riverside villages to invest in good mooring facili�es.

Mendelzoon men�oned that the project experienced delays, largely a�ributed to last year's flooding.

"Now that this project is completed, I congratulate the three residen�al communi�es and thank them for their pa�ence," stated the District Commissioner.

Captain Henri Kaffe of Nieuw Lombe provided an overview of the project's progress during his speech. He discussed the numerous challenges and the eventual comple�on of the project. Although the project commenced in February 2021, it faced setbacks, including water overflow and other disrup�ons,

resul�ng in its conclusion on December 15, 2023.

Jerry Finisie, RCF Vice Chairman and Manager of Community Rela�ons, expressed gra�tude to the villagers for their involvement in this project and expressed hope for its op�mal u�liza�on.

A�er the speeches, the signing ceremony took place. Subsequently, the three mooring facili�es were officially inaugurated by the tradi�onal authori�es, the district commissioner, and RCF members. The plaques were christened with lemonade, symbolizing the an�cipa�on for the local community to make good use of these new water facili�es.
