When The Birkle Group made their decision to join Realty Executives Integrity, they immediately added 77 years of Real Estate experience to our Brokerage It’s hard to overstate the impact the Birkle Family has made since moving into our Brookfield Office, but let’s just say their positive influence has been life changing for all of us.

With David & Dave working from the main level, and Jessie & Kathy on the upper level, our office has been filled with lots of laughter, warm greetings, encouragement, and great ideas for making our company better and stronger. It’s such a joy to spend time with The Birkle Group, they are delightful! No wonder they sell a ton of homes; their happy customers trust them completely, and refer them often

In addition to doing life together, this family does business together, as best friends. They have made family their priority, and have established a real estate legacy that began a generation before when Grandma Carol (Kathy’s Mother) established herself as a strong Sales Executive with Realty Executives under the Management of Tom Verette (who brought Realty Executives to Wisconsin)

Family times together, away from business, are a priority. One of the traditions we admire is their annual trip to St. Pete Beach in Florida, their “home away from home”. Fun family memories have been created by making this a “can’t miss” gathering that includes Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Grandparents, and children of all ages All of us would be wise to follow their example by setting healthy boundaries to honor our life priorities.

Recipe of the month

INGREDIENTS

3 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil, divided

2 lb. beef chuck stew meat, cubed into 1" pieces

Kosher salt

Freshly ground black pepper

1 yellow onion, chopped

2 medium carrots, peeled and cut into rounds

2 stalks celery, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

3 medium russet potatoes, peeled and cut into large chunks

4 c. low-sodium beef broth

1 (16-oz.) bottle Guinness

2 tsp. fresh thyme

STEP 1

In a large Dutch oven over medium heat, heat 2 tablespoons oil. Season beef with salt and pepper, then add to pot and cook on all sides until seared, 10 minutes, working in batches if necessary. Transfer beef to a plate.

ST EP 2

In same pot, add remaining 1 tablespoon oil and cook onion, carrots, and celery until soft, 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

STEP 3

Add beef back to Dutch oven, then add potatoes, broth, beer, and thyme, then scrape the bottom of the pot to release the fond (browned bits at the bottom). Bring to a boil, then immediately reduce heat to a simmer. Season with salt and pepper. Cover and let simmer until beef and potatoes are tender, 30 minutes. 3
