You’ve Got to Make a Mess Before You Can Make MeaninG
By A.Y. BerthiaumeIf I had a dollar for every time an aspiring author said, “I keep getting stuck revising the last thing I wrote rather than writing anything new,” I’d be a rich woman. I see this editing folly tripping people up on the regular. And I totally get it–this very thing used to sabotage my progress as well. I’d sit down for a new writing block and reread what I wrote the last time. The purpose was to get my head “back in the game.” That was great in theory.
In application, I’d find myself combing through line by line, nitpicking what I had written. I couldn’t help but see passive or vague word choice… something that felt missing… a different way to make the sentence more effective. I had this compulsion to fix, polish, perfect. The outcome? I never got any new writing done, or very little compared to what I had planned. This meant that getting through a first draft could be painfully long. Longer than it needed to be, for sure.
What was even more infuriating was by the time I completed a whole draft,

all the smaller edits I had made didn’t really matter. Once I read the whole piece, I inevitably found huge changes that needed to be made. Paragraphs (or chapters) that needed to be moved around which impacted transition sentences or introductions and conclusions. Vital pieces of information left out that now needed to be added in. All this biglevel stuff negated any tedious revisions I had put painstaking effort into making. In other words, there had been little to no point in fixing things at the line or sentence level in the early draft stages.
Eventually, I found my way out of this compulsory editing behavior which required both mindset shifts and trying new approaches to my writing time (such as the uncensored writing sprint). Since there is no onesize-fits-all approach, I’m not going to use the rest of this article to list the approaches you could try to remedy this editing tick. Instead, I’ll offer you some perspectives to adopt because we’ve got to shift our beliefs before our actions or results change.

A lot of the time the belief driving the need to nitpick and edit our work as we go is one having to do with both perfection and imposter syndrome. Underlying both is our fear of someone finding fault with our work and proving us incapable or unworthy of being an author. I’ve come to this conclusion because of the number of times clients have voiced these concerns related to the quality of their early drafts. It’s like they’re already taking on readers’ judgment even though the manuscript is far from ready to be looked at by anyone other than the author (and maybe their book coach or editor.)
So, this is what I offer: remember what stage of the writing process you’re in. The early drafts aren’t for anyone else’s eyes but your own. Getting caught up in the possibility of criticism based on a draft that isn’t the final product is a losing battle. It’s putting the cart (your worry) before the horse
Alyssa Berthiaume (usually known as Ally, but published under A.Y.) is the founder of The Write Place, Right Time, her virtual boutique of book coaching and ghostwriting services. Berthiaume serves leaders, entrepreneurs, and visionaries across North America and Europe in writing the books that will light up their world and ours. Berthiaume is also the award-winning author of Dear Universe, I Get it Now: Letters on the Art and Journey of Being Brave and Being Me and the co-author of Do Not Write a Book...Until You Read This one.
(the manuscript’s actual debut).
You’ve got to make a mess before you can make meaning. You’ve got to get all the things down on the page, and get the whole draft written before you can mindfully and accurately edit and revise it to say exactly what you want to say and in the way you want to say it. You have to take care of the big stuff before the small stuff will matter.
Most importantly, you can’t edit anything that isn’t yet written. If you never finish the draft, you’ll never get around to the finer levels of editing. If you never get there, you’ll never make sure your manuscript is truly ready for prime time.
As you dig in with your early draft, it’s about progress, not perfection. The first draft is for you, it’s for your eyes only, and judgment day hasn’t yet come. So get in there. Get messy. Be imperfect. Just write.

In today’s digital age, the traditional methods of book marketing have taken a back seat as authors turn to online platforms and social media to promote their work.
With the rise of self-publishing and e-books, authors now have more control over their marketing strategies than ever before. And many are taking full advantage of this by going all-in on digital marketing.
So, what exactly does it mean for an author to go all-in on digital marketing? Essentially, it means utilizing every available digital tool to reach and connect with as many potential readers as possible. It encompasses a wide range of strategies, from building a strong online presence to engaging with readers through social media and email campaigns.

One of the most effective ways authors are utilizing digital marketing is with social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. By sharing engaging content, interacting with followers, and running targeted ads, authors can expand their reach and build a loyal fan base. Many authors also use these platforms to offer exclusive content, promotions, and giveaways to engage their audience and increase book sales.
Email marketing is another key component of digital marketing for authors. This direct line of communication allows authors to cultivate a dedicated fan base and drive sales through targeted email campaigns.

Don’t be afraid to embrace the digital age and harness its power to take your writing career to new heights.
In addition to social media and email marketing, authors are also turning to digital advertising to promote their books. From running ads on platforms such as Amazon and Goodreads to partnering with book bloggers and influencers, authors are using targeted ads to reach potential readers and drive traffic to their book sales pages. By investing in digital advertising, authors can effectively reach a wider audience and increase their book sales.

By leveraging the power of social media, email marketing, and digital advertising, authors can build a strong online presence, connect with their audience, and drive book sales like never before. Sticktoitiveness on YouTube:
Persist, adapt, succeed—unlock the secrets of YouTube resilience
Whatever you do, don’t quit
In the realm of digital marketing, particularly for authors, YouTube has emerged as a powerful platform for engagement and visibility. However, much like any profession, success on YouTube requires more than just uploading videos—it demands staying
abreast of the latest tools and trends.
What every good professional does – even authors
Consider this: just as a mechanic must ongoingly update their knowledge of new repair techniques or a doctor must stay informed
about medical advancements, authors must adapt to the ever-evolving landscape of YouTube. I found myself in a similar situation. I had to adapt to many changes over my 25 years as a Realtor. Changes that I interpreted as the ‘enemy’ that were in reality the gift I didn’t know I needed.

Recently I found myself in yet another similar ‘change or fail’ predicament. Despite dedicating years to building my presence on the platform, I realized that I had fallen behind as a YouTube Content Creator. New tools had emerged, strategies had evolved, and my once-effective approach was now at risk of being compromised and even outdated.
Recommitting is key Faced with this realization, I knew that I needed to take action. I committed myself to regular updates and education, treating YouTube as I would any other aspect of my professional life. It was a decision that would ultimately transform my approach and reignite my success.
Through this process, I came to understand that success on YouTube is not a destination but a journey—one that requires constant adaptation and evolution. Much like navigating the shifting currents of the sea, staying afloat on YouTube demands vigilance, resilience, and a willingness to embrace change.
The game-changer for me
One of the most valuable resources I discovered was TubeBuddy. I call it YouTube’s: best friend. This comprehensive toolkit became my go-to companion, offering invaluable insights and optimization tools to enhance the performance of my videos. From keyword research to analytics tracking, TubeBuddy empowered me to optimize every aspect of my YouTube strategy, ultimately driving greater engagement and visibility.
Success on YouTube requires a proactive approach, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to ongoing growth and development.
TubeBuddy helped me look good and stay awake and informed for myself and others. I uncovered a wealth of additional resources, each offering unique insights and strategies from academies to industry forums, I immersed myself in a community of like-minded creators, exchanging ideas and staying informed about the latest developments.
Not for you? I understand completely
Yet, I do acknowledge that not all authors share this perspective. Some may be tempted to walk away when faced with change, while others may not consider YouTube important enough to invest their time in mastering. They simply want their marketing efforts to be simple, efficient, and straightforward.
However, I urge authors to reconsider. In today’s digital landscape, the success of their marketing efforts, including YouTube, are at stake. But rest assure, for there are solutions available. Whether it’s finding a mentor, subscribing to a reliable publication, or leveraging trusted resources, authors can stay on top of YouTube’s changes without investing excessive time or money.
In conclusion
Success on YouTube requires a proactive approach, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to ongoing growth and development. By embracing change, staying informed, and leveraging the wealth of resources available, authors can navigate the ever-changing tide of YouTube and emerge stronger, more resilient, and more successful than ever before.

Women
This anthology of true stories offers a rare glimpse into the lives of remarkable ranch women who have dedicated their lives to familyowned livestock operations across the Canadian prairies. Through meticulously compiled narratives, the book celebrates the resilience, adaptability, and unwavering commitment of these unsung heroes.
At the heart of the book are the stories of 16 ranch women who have weathered both the triumphs and challenges of this time-honored way of life. From the Gillespie family’s multi-generational ranching legacy to the Doonan and Suitor families’ innovative approaches, each account underscores the extraordinary within the ordinary.
A central theme that emerges is the vital role these women play as the “glue” holding ranches and families together. Whether it’s Eleanor Gillespie single-handedly changing a flat tire as a teenager or Rosemary Doonan continuing to manage her cattle operation well into her 80s, the book illuminates the grit and determination that define the ranch woman’s experience.
Beyond the physical demands of ranch life, the book also tackles the emotional and relational complexities these women navigate. Many recount feeling undervalued, overlooked, and unheard within the traditionally male-dominated ranching culture. The book bravely addresses the systemic gender biases that have been passed down through generations, empowering readers to recognize their own worth and reject the opinions of others.
Importantly, the book also highlights the importance of adaptability and innovation in sustaining family ranches. Profiles like that of Laurel Schlaht illustrate how ranch women
have embraced new technologies, business ventures, and collaborative leadership models to ensure the viability of their operations. In the face of government intervention and natural disasters, these women demonstrate an unwavering commitment to their land and livestock.
Perhaps most poignantly, the book weaves together the personal narratives with the women’s family histories, creating a tapestry that celebrates the multigenerational nature of ranch life. From the Sonnie family’s century-long roots to the Peake and Gillespie grandchildren carrying on the ranching tradition, these stories underscore the profound sense of place and belonging that sustains these women.

Across these diverse accounts, a common thread emerges - the enduring human spirit that propels these ranch women forward, even in the face of heartbreak and hardship. Whether it’s the loss of a child, the sale of the family homestead, or the ravages of disease, the women featured in Voices from the Prairies demonstrate an unbreakable resilience.
In sharing these extraordinary stories, the book serves as a powerful testament to the ranch woman’s experience. It invites readers to step into the boots of these unsung heroes, to bear witness to their joys and sorrows, and to emerge with a deepened appreciation for the vital role they play in sustaining Canada’s ranching heritage.
Ultimately, Voices from the Prairies celebrates the indomitable spirit of these ordinary women who have achieved the extraordinary through their unwavering dedication to family, community, and land.

Dorothy Beasley (aka Grandma Beasley) is a proud baby-boomer from Alberta, who was raised on a cattle farm where she learned to drive tractors and work with machinery as a young girl. Riding horseback and rounding up cattle were also part of her daily routine. Ranch life was hard work, fun, and sometimes dangerous.
Cooking wasn’t a skill she picked up until after getting married. As the years passed, raising her four children, and actively volunteering in the community, she discovered a love for baking and cooking nutritious meals for her family. Today, she values teaching young people essential life skills that will benefit them in the future. From cooking and money-saving techniques to public speaking and budgeting, she aims to pass on valuable knowledge to help others lead fulfilling lives. She also enjoys sharing tips on preserving and harvesting garden vegetables, as well as wild plants and berries, to make teas and lotions.
She loves connecting, communicating, and collaborating women, men, and children of all ages as well as Mother Nature. She enjoys meeting new people and forming friendships to learn from each other.
As a book developer and publisher, I have worked with many personal and professional coaches over the past 20 years. During this time, I have observed the exponential rise of coaching as a profession, particularly with the advent of executive coaching, and the establishment of coaching organizations and certification programs. Additionally, the personal growth movement has given birth to the ‘Life Coach’ emphasizing self-improvement, self-awareness, helping individuals set and achieve goals, overcome obstacles, and develop better habits and behaviors.
The challenge for most coaches is to position themselves with distinction and credibility. Writing and publishing a book can position the coach as an authority in their field, showcasing their unique
expertise and knowledge to potential clients. Having a published book adds credibility to the coach’s credentials, making them more trustworthy in the eyes of clients and peers.
A book allows the coach to reach a larger audience beyond their immediate client base, potentially attracting new clients and new opportunities such as speaking at conferences and on podcasts. A book serves as a powerful marketing tool, helping the coach to promote their services and differentiate themselves from competitors, creating the ultimate personal branding vehicle.
Writing and publishing a book allows the coach to leave a lasting impact and potential legacy by sharing their wisdom and insights with future generations. A well-written book can elevate a coach’s profile, enhance their reputation, and ultimately lead to greater success and distinction in their field. When a new client reads your book before scheduling a coaching session, they will have a foundation to your basic principles and will gain the awareness of the value you can offer them.

Putting “Social” Back in Social Media leadS to BuSineSS Growth
Understanding the vast extent of social media’s penetration into our daily existence is truly astounding. It seems not that long ago, we were fully engaged in face-to-face interactions, sharing thoughts and laughter in person. We took the time to write letters, carefully choosing our words, sealing them with a stamp, and sending them off with a sense of anticipation for a reply. We were also tethered to phones fixed to
our walls, waiting for that ring that connected us to someone far away. (Yikes! I’m showing my age.)
The rapid transition to digital communication highlights not just technological advancement but also a shift in how we connect with others.
As we’ve journeyed through time, the tactics employed in social media have evolved dramatically. Remember the trend of sharing
your meal photos on Twitter? It was all the rage, until suddenly, it wasn’t. Additionally, we discovered countless applications for social media, extending far beyond our initial imagination - reigniting old connections, sharing news of global events, and bridging the gap between consumers and the services they seek. Most of the applications have been and continue to be astonishingly beneficial; some have proven to produce dreadful outcomes.

Engaging in meaningful conversations and directing your communication toward your audience is the key to driving website traffic, generating leads, securing clients, or boosting sales.
The benefits social media have introduced are undeniable.
However, it seems as though businesses began to lean a little too heavily into their success, transitioning from authentic, human interactions to a more automated engagement relying on a minimal effort rather than a genuine attempt to build trust and a true relationship.
When considering today’s digital interactions, engaging with an automated system can feel significantly less personal, like chatting with a robot. The missing piece of personal interaction diminishes the effectiveness of communication, making it harder to form meaningful relationships.
Automation within social media certainly plays a critical role. It simplifies and streamlines tasks, particularly for small business owners lacking a social media team or a tech-savvy individual to manage their content consistently.
If You Build It, Will Business Growth Follow?
Sadly, this isn’t quite the reality. Many small business owners have learned this the hard way, starting a business page on Facebook or IG expecting an immediate influx of followers and customers. Merely

promoting your services won’t suffice. “Social” media is meant to foster social interactions, making engagement crucial.
Engaging in meaningful conversations and directing your communication toward your audience is the key to driving website traffic, generating leads, securing clients, or boosting sales.
Social media serves as a tool to facilitate dialogue and interaction, aiming to build and nourish relationships rather than replace them. Hence, the essence of leveraging social media effectively is to engage with your audience.
Share content that sparks conversation, respond to comments, ask questions, and participate in discussions. Show genuine interest in your followers’ lives and interests. This approach builds a community around your brand or profile, leading to stronger, more meaningful connections.
View social media not merely as a channel for broadcasting but as a vibrant, interactive space where real conversations unfold. Engage authentically with others and you’ll experience firsthand the transformative power of social media in fostering lasting relationships.
Small business owners love technology - until it gets in the way of success. Relationships that lead to results occur when “social” returns to social media.

SalaD mealS aND Power BowlS
In the summer heat, nothing refreshes and nourishes quite like a vibrant salad meal or a power-packed bowl. These culinary creations not only provide a burst of flavor but also deliver a plethora of nutrients, keeping you energized and satisfied throughout the day. Let’s embark on a culinary journey to construct wholesome summer salads and power bowls that tantalize the taste buds while promoting health and vitality.
Creating a nutritious and satisfying summer salad meal or power bowl involves incorporating a variety of fresh and colorful ingredients to provide essential nutrients and flavors. Here are some musthave components to include:
1. Leafy Greens: Choose a base of leafy greens like spinach, kale, arugula, or mixed greens. These greens are packed with vitamins, minerals, and fiber, providing a nutritious foundation for your meal.
2. Protein: Include a source of lean protein to keep you feeling full and satisfied. Options include grilled chicken, shrimp, tofu, chickpeas, black beans, quinoa, or edamame. Protein helps repair tissues and supports muscle growth.
3. Vegetables: Load up your salad with a variety of colorful vegetables for added vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Some great options for summer salads include cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers,
shredded carrots, radishes, corn, snap peas, and avocado.
4. Fruits: Incorporate seasonal fruits to add sweetness and extra nutrients to your salad. Berries, sliced strawberries, diced mango, watermelon cubes, and citrus segments are all excellent choices. Fruits provide natural sugars, vitamins, and hydration.
5. Healthy Fats: Include sources of healthy fats such as avocado, nuts, seeds, or olives to add richness and texture to your salad. These fats help promote satiety and support heart health.
6. Whole Grains: For power bowls, adding whole grains like quinoa, brown rice, farro, or barley provides complex carbohydrates, fiber, and
additional nutrients. Whole grains help sustain energy levels and promote digestive health.
7. Dressing: Use homemade or store-bought dressings made with healthy oils like olive oil, avocado oil, or tahini. Opt for vinaigrettes with minimal added sugars and sodium. Alternatively, you can use fresh lemon juice or balsamic vinegar for a lighter dressing option.
8. Herbs and Spices: Fresh herbs like basil, cilantro, mint, or parsley add brightness and flavor to your salad. Additionally, spices like cumin, paprika, chili powder, or garlic powder can enhance the taste without adding extra calories.
9. Optional Extras: Customize your salad with additional toppings such as crumbled feta cheese, goat cheese, shredded Parmesan, or grated cheese for added flavor. You can also add crispy elements like toasted nuts, seeds, or whole-grain croutons for texture.
By incorporating these components into your summer salad meal or power bowl, you’ll create a balanced and satisfying dish that’s bursting with flavor and nutrition. Feel free to mix and match ingredients based on your preferences and dietary needs.

PlottiNg the arC
Your job as an author, regardless of what type of writing you do, is to move your reader. Here’s the rub. How can you move the reader if your storyline is flat? If all you do is report events or facts, how will that information move your reader?
This has become a topic that has been rattling around in my brain lately. As I coach several individuals interested in writing a memoir, I find myself saying the same things over and over. “Identify your ideal reader and write your first draft as a letter to them. When you have said everything that you think you should share with them, stop writing. Then we will organize it, so it flows and makes sense.”
Most of the time they look at me like I have six heads and we banter back and forth about whether there needs to be a structure and an outline. Undoubtedly, it is an unconventional way to write. During our last session, I shared what a story arc is and how it plots movement in the storyline which is a great tool for writers to use. What a light bulb moment! If they can draft their book and the stories that comprise the book within the framework of a narrative arc, then they will literally see the structure, and the movement becomes visual.
In last month’s article, I shared about using a poster board and Post - It Notes to plot the different stories in a book. Let’s take it one step further. Instead of categorizing the individual stories into chapters, what if we plotted the narrative arc – exposition, rising action, crisis/climax, falling action, denouement – for the book. The writer will be able to see the patterns and structure, allowing them to visualize much quicker where the gaps are within the storyline.
Maybe this is why I am so vehemently opposed to writing outlines before the first word is written. Chapters feel linear and truly don’t evoke movement to me. If I write based on the story arc, then I can see the movement. Outlining chapters before writing feels like being stuck in expository hell with little to change.
Plotting where stories fall within the arc will be a great way to make sure there is appropriate distribution to each of the parts. A writer wouldn’t want too many stories that introduce the action that leads to the crisis/climax (defined as the major change in the book). Following the climax would be stories of the results of the change or falling action. The book ends with denouement,
which is basically a resolution/ conclusion. It ties together all the plots and themes and resolves any outstanding questions a reader may have.
How do you plot a story arc? On the vertical axis, you measure the change. Perhaps wealthy is on one end of the vertical axis and poor is on the other. The horizontal axis measures time, or when it occurs from beginning to end of the book. The corresponding picture could look like a pyramid or letter U, which could also be inverted depending upon the value that is highest on the vertical axis. Some books will have more than one “arc” and may show up as several peaks and valleys within the graph. As an observer you can see the patterns that emerge and what stories almost repeat themselves in a longer storyline.
I believe that plotting arcs will be a great balance for those I mentor. They will see some structure and I will see some movement. That’s a win for everyone.
I would love it if you would share your experience with plotting the story arc of your writing. Do you think about it when you are writing, and do you make the visual model in your writing process? Curious minds like to know. Thanks in advance!

Make Your Writing Journey Easier
I tell all my clients, “Writing the book is all about you as an author. The book’s content is all about the reader and their experience. If you don’t connect with the reader, they will just move on to another book.”
So what’s a new author to do?
A good book coach or developmental editor can help you avoid this costly mistake.
Making your content flow in a nonfiction book is quite the challenge, especially for new authors. It is essential that your book flows in a logical sequence so that your reader can follow your train of thought and not get lost in a stream-ofconsciousness form of writing. That will kill the reader’s interest and you lose a potential loyal customer.
One of the simplest ways to help you make sure you aren’t confusing your reader: do NOT use jargon. Every industry has its own unique internal language. For example, the way I would speak with fellow teachers (when I was teaching) was completely different than the way we teachers would speak to parents. It wasn’t about being smart. It was about communication.
Here’s the benefit: when you put a difficult concept into easy-tounderstand language, it helps your readers understand and learn. If you can do that without making them feel dumb, you will gain fans. DON’T USE JARGON.
The one exception is if your book is for other professionals in your specific industry. They will understand the jargon, so it works. It’s like speaking a different language. You can’t expect to communicate well with, say, someone who speaks only Spanish unless you can speak Spanish with them. It’s the same concept.
For example: years ago, I helped a fellow teacher write a book. She was a highly trained Resource teacher who also trained Resource teachers (which

are the teachers who work with the kids with learning difficulties such as dyslexia, and that was my background). She was the top of that particular food chain. We had to decide which audience she wanted to “talk to” in her book: parents, regular classroom teachers, or specifically to other Resource teachers. Why? Each one of those choices required a completely different language. Your audience determines your language.
This is why your market research is so important. You must know your audience. Working with a good book coach or developmental editor should be able to help you make sure to communicate with your audience in a way that resonates. Once you decide on your audience, you tailor your language to fit that audience.
In the above teacher example, my friend decided to write her first book for parents. She focused her topic on identifying possible learning problems in their children and used lots of examples to illustrate her points. It was a complete hit. Her school district ended up handing that book out to parents as their go-to resource. She helped many kids get early-on help by guiding their parents to become informed about a difficult subject. She made them feel educated and eased their confusion in a situation that is highly stressful for everyone.
There is no substitute for expert advice. When you want to write your expert book, don’t be shy about asking a professional coach/editor for help. We are here to help.

THE 4 TYPES OF PODCAST GUESTS THAT INJECT FAST
GROWTH IN TO YOUR
FIRST 100 EPISODES Part
2
We’re continuing to talk about the four types of podcast guests that inject fast growth to your first 100 episodes. The first two were Industry Pros, who have an audience similar to yours, and Funnel Guests, in which you bring on guests and lead them into a sales conversation.
In this article, we will discuss types three and four:

Following up number one and two from the first part of this article, Industry Celebrities and Funnel Guests, we’ll jump right to number three: Other Podcasters.
Other Podcast Hosts are the best and easiest types of guests out there once you have your show started. First off, they’re pros. They know what they’re doing. It’s not hard to check them out and see if their show is good. You know what they’re going to come on and talk about. Make sure they’re aligned with your audience. If you don’t know for sure who your audience is, you might want to have a little more variety so testing with other podcasters can test audience types too.
You can suggest a podcast swap. That’s the industry lingo for “You come on my show. I go on your show.” That’s an ideal thing to do if there is similarity in each other’s audiences so both your shows grow.
The other thing is, when you’re just launching a show, podcasters understand that the early episodes get a lot more listenership over time, even if they don’t have it yet. If your show is not yet popular, they understand that your early episodes will always have the most listeners, and you will obviously put more effort into publicizing your new show too.
The fourth type of fast growth guests are Community Members. These are the ones that will help you build and nurture your community
experience. Nurture your community by bringing members onto your show and having conversations with them.
Sometimes when you bring on someone who’s only a couple of steps ahead of where your listeners are, it helps to see the success that guest achieved.
Everybody else starts to see, “That was brilliant what the host did with them. I need that.” It breaks down barriers. It makes them much more interested in getting to know you, and they may very well chase you down to work with them.
All too often, new podcasters don’t consider the different types of guests that they might have from all these perspectives. Have more of an intentional plan for your podcast. Ask yourself, “Am I thinking from only one perspective?”
Most new hosts think, “How big of a reach does that guest have? How many connections do they have on LinkedIn? How many followers do they have on Instagram?” Yes, that’s all important, but it isn’t going to do everything you need.
Consider this. Developing a strategy to maximize every one of the 52 weeks’ worth of guests you will have on your show is one of the most valuable uses of your time and the fastest way to grow your show.
