INPPO Receives Recognition as Best Provincial Police Human Rights Desk of the Year

Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office (INPPO), under the exemplary leadership of PCOL JULIUS C SURIBEN, PD, achieved a remarkable milestone by being adjudged as the Best Provincial Police Human Rights Desk of the Year. This prestigious award was conferred during the 16th PNP-HRAO Founding Anniversary at the Multi-Purpose Center, Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City, on July 4, 2023.

The Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office (INPPO), under the infatigable leadership of its Provincial Director, PCOL JULIUS C SURIBEN was adjudged as the “Outstanding Police Provincial Office for CY 2023“ nationwide during the celebration of 28th Police Community Relations Month with the theme “ ” on July 27, 2023 at the National Headquarters, Philipine National Police, Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City. Badoc Municipal Police Station, INPPO was also awarded as the Best Municipal Police Sation - Class C for CY 2023 under the stewardship of PMAJ JOSEPH H TAYABAN for its exemplary efforts in delivering the police services to the community.

The recognition stands as a testament to the relentless dedication and commitment of the INPPO in upholding and promoting human rights principles within their jurisdiction. The award was the result of the collective efforts of the HRAO personnel, who worked tirelessly to meet various criteria. One of the key factors contributing to the award was the unwavering compliance with human rights standards and regulations. By strictly adhering to protocols and guidelines, the INPPO-HRAO demonstrated their commitment to safeguarding the rights and dignity of every individual they serve. Furthermore, their active engagement on social media platforms played an essential role in reaching out to the community and fostering transparency. Through regular postings and updates, they were able to build stronger connections with the public and reinforce the importance of human rights awareness. They even showcased commendable results during the custodial facility inspections. These inspections played a vital role in ensuring that detainees were treated with dignity and respect, promoting a fair and humane approach to law enforcement. The INPPO-HRAO’s dedication was also evident in the array of activities they conducted to educate and advocate for human rights. Their initiatives not only raised awareness but also contributed to building a more inclusive and compassionate community. The prestigious award is the manifestation of noteworthy Police Community Affairs and Development in the implementation of programs, projects, and activities, undertaken by the INPPO that have greatly contributed to the peace and development initiatives in the country which brings the PNP closer to the community.

This recognition reflects the INPPO steadfast commitment to upholding the principles of human rights in their law enforcement practices. As they continue to set an example for others in the police force, they contribute to building a safer and more just society for all as Mapagtalkan, Alisto, addaan Tured ken Tarigagay nga agserbi iti probinsiya.

The effective police community service plays an important role to win the hearts and minds of the public. It is expected that police officers will protect the community, ensure its safety, enforce the law and maintain peace and order through police community relations.

The Manang and Manong Pulis of INPPO will continuously perform their mandated duties and responsibilities and to collaborate more with all the stakeholders to protect the community and Strengthen Harmonious Alleviative Management. 
