J’étais frustré, comme d’autres étudiants parmi la foule, puisque dans le bulletin d’informations et les publications des réseaux sociaux, il fut exprimé que les étudiants qui n’étaient pas inscrits à York pouvaient y aller s’ils étaient accompagnés par un élève de York. J’ai eu de la peine pour ceux qui avaient apporté un ami qui n’était pas de York. Once we finally got into the cafeteria, there were some older mid 2000’s songs playing—total 7th grade Halloween party nostalgia!— and a table full of snacks like pizza, chips, fun size candy and pop. ic drinks, and a Polaroid Photo Booth led by La Mode à Glendon. I absolutely loved the Photo Booth! The night definitely got off to a slow and rocky start, but as more students trickled into the cafeteria, the music started to get more upbeat, with so many throwback songs, and students were dancing, eating, drinking, talking and laughing. La destination finale de notre nuit était l’espace cool dans le café Lunik. Mais il y avait une occasion en avance de peindre les citrouilles ; la peinture des citrouilles événements officielles allait être le 28 octobre. Grâce à ça, l’espace était très calme
et tranquille, parfait pour se détendre après tous les festivités. All in all, the night had its ups and its downs. It wasn’t perfect, but was still very memorable for me, and I’m sure for others too. It was so nice to see so many people coming out to show their Halloween and school spirit; it really does serve as a reminder of why in-person education and interaction is important. If you didn’t come out to a Halloween event this year, make sure to keep an eye out for other Glendon events, and clear your schedule for next Halloween!
