Aaron Lewis loves to fish, golf, ride his mini dirt bike and spent time with his family. He is by physical appearance and sound, the epitome of traditional country music, however, that is but the surface! Born in Rutland, Vermont, Aaron Lewis spent his young childhood in a Log Cabin with his folk band playing parents. The earliest musical influence gives note to the James Taylor sound. Summers with his World War II Veteran grandfather brought the country music influence of Merle Haggard and Hank Williams to his world. The teenage years found Lewis in Massachusetts with deep influence of the rock sound preferred by his friends. As the story goes for all great ones in the industry, he formed a band with friends which led to Aaron being the lead vocalist and co-founding member of the band STAIND. And they weren’t just buddies playing around, they are STAIND – selling over 15 million albums to date. Aaron has been nominated for 3 Grammys and is a critically acclaimed songwriter… AND THEN HE WENT COUNTRY! There was no band break up, they are good and it was while they toured with Kid Rock that the solo country career took flight. Finding himself riding on the Kid Rock bus, Lewis was brought back to his childhood country roots listening to nonstop Waylon, Willie and the Boys among the other greats playing on the bus stereo. He couldn’t let go as country music took hold of his heart. “FRAYED AT BOTH ENDS”, the fourth country album from Aaron Lewis brings us “EVERYBODY TALKS TO GOD.” An acoustic sound with lyrics of life, truth, and the hidden message of hope.
