Visual Arts Department

The recipient of the eleventh-grade Love of Art Award is a young man who has demonstrated commitment and dedication to both his work and the creative process. Focus, along with a willingness to explore aesthetic options, elevated his work, perhaps even beyond his own expectations. The Visual Arts Department is pleased to recognize Dan D’Alessandro with the Love of Art Award.

The recipient of the eleventh-grade Excellence in Art Award has excelled in every art elective she has taken at Portledge. She enjoys using her laptop to create amazing fantasy characters but is also an accomplished painter. She has even been known to occasionally pose for Mr. Krause’s photography class. The Visual Arts Department is pleased to recognize Zilin (Belle) Zhang with the Excellence in Art Award.
