Twelfth-GradeHistoryLoveofLearning LUKEFOLEY

This convivial character consistently demonstrates a superior understanding of the material and a genuine thirst for knowledge. Curiosity and inquiry are words that surround this eminently capable scholar. His convivial character, deep insight, and intelligence inspire classroom discussion, resulting in well-planned written work and project presentations. He is articulate, imaginative in his thinking, and unafraid to ask questions when in doubt. The respect he garners from his classmates comes naturally and is rooted in a genuine appreciation for his authentic perspicacity and raw intellectual ability. We sense that something great is ahead of this eager autodidact. We will no doubt read in future years of some discovery, invention, new method, or recreated design thinking of his that propels others forward in his chosen field. Notre Dame is fortunate to have him in their freshmen class. Congratulations to Luke Foley, this year’s recipient of the Love of Learning Award
