Senior Athletic Award

Reese Barnett

Reese was described by one of his coaches as “the ideal player you want to coach. He was positive, determined and relentless in his effort to compete.” Another coach stated that “he simply did the job of being a selfless member of our team. Constantly looking for ways to help improve the club in any way that he was asked, he always played as if the team was more important than his individual pride or accolades.” Reese Barnett, thank you for everything you have done for Portledge and its soccer, hockey, and lacrosse programs.

Laura Castronova

From the moment Laura Castronova arrived on campus she had an impact on every team that she played on and had a strong impact throughout the campus. One of her highlights this year was being a White Captain - helping to lead the team to victory. Impressively, she played two sports in the same season in order to commit to her main spring sport of golf. One of her coaches stated that 'she has matured as an athlete and learned how to channel her intensity into focused play, scoring some key goals for the hockey team coming down the stretch and especially on championship weekend." Laura Castronova, thank you for everything you have done for Portledge and its hockey, golf, and lacrosse programs.
