Head of School Award

With a much larger graduating class this year, we have divided the Head of School awards into four categories, each reflecting one of the Portledge Pillars - Kindness, Purpose, Honor, and Respect.

Honor

The third Head of School award is given in relation to the Portledge Pillar of Honor. These two individuals have done a remarkable job upholding the principles of our school and always act with integrity and maturity.

Henry Mercier

The first recipient is loved and respected by his peers. He is the voice of calm and reason and is often the student others turn to when looking for advice. He is jovial, kind, and disciplined yet competitive whenever he dons the Portledge crest. It matters to him that we all demonstrate a degree of moral rectitude in our dealings. His strength of character and fortitude are commendable. He is thought of fondly and trusted by all who know him. Congratulations to Henry Mercier.

BO (EDDY) HU

The second winner is a student for whom balance and quiet composure are virtually synonymous with his name. He has worked tirelessly to garner an enviable academic reputation and was thoroughly deserving of his acceptance to NYU. He is principled and self-disciplined in his adherence to our community's rules and regulations. He takes our Pillars seriously and quietly conveys what it means to do the right thing without making a show of his goodness. He has climbed a huge academic mountain and fully deserves his spot as one of the top scholars in this capable and assiduous grade. Well done to Bo (Eddy) Hu.
