Head of School Award

With a much larger graduating class this year, we have divided the Head of School awards into four categories, each reflecting one of the Portledge Pillars - Kindness, Purpose, Honor, and Respect.

Kindness

The first Head of School Award is given to two recipients who have shown remarkable character growth this year and have always been ready to extend a helping hand to those in need.

Noah Capps

The first winner is someone who has fought hard to make Portledge a better place by contributing in every way possible. He was a three-season athlete who helped our school achieve the highest heights. He is a selfless individual who always puts the needs of others above his own. He has grown by leaps and bounds and has a huge heart, and is incredibly generous in spirit. His grit and determination are mirrored by his caring approach to the adults and his classmates in this illustrious grade.

Congratulations to Noah Kapps.

Sandeep Sood

The second winner is a vivacious, thoughtful, and generous person. In some ways, he embodies the word kindness, and his warm personality was in evidence as he recently received word of his induction to the Cum Laude Society. He is at ease conversing with adults as he is when holding court with his peers. He is intelligent, wise, and mature beyond his years. It was a pleasure to work with him on his Extended Essay examining the intricacies of the economic reasons behind the decline of the Ottoman Empire before World War I. He is a true scholar and gentleman.

Congratulations to Sandeep Sood.
