The sun is up, the courtyard is quiet, the hills are rolling, and the students take their places. As the teachers yell, "Action!", we are all set for another day of comedy, drama, news, and animation. Students pursue academics during the day, but when the bell rings at 2: 15, everyone moves downstage to discover their place in the spotlight. Taking part in die- hard sports teams, the prolific acting program, publications with a dedication to truth and deadlines, the enthusiastic

community outreach activities, and the countless other creative pursuits are all exhibits of individual pride and commitment. We are all stars!

The experiences thrown at us each day allow us to develop a vision and awareness of "the larger picture" and transmit our personal conceptions of polyvision to the unsuspecting world. Together we learn, individually we succeed. This is our time, our PRIME TIME.

In the world of television, changes are often neeeded to spice up the action and keep the viewers happy. Here at Poly, -changes in the faculty and · administration have meant adjustment and for our community. Mr. Feldmeth replaced Mrs. Knapp as Upper-School Director, while Mr Hillinck was recast as

How are you making a difference, and where do you see your students in fifteen years?

Mr. Ipswitch: Poly is a very serious place. Two things I've tried to do are provide a little fun and interest along the way. People enjoy history more when they can relate to it (California History, Mass Communications). There are a lot of fun and eccentric people on campus. That's also why I do Superfan- it's strictly for fun. You get all of the intellectual broccoli you need, a little dessert is nice once in a while ... [In fifteen years] the biggest difference is that you'll be paying the bills instead of spending your parents' money.

Mr. Stelter: (I make a difference] by teaching my students to be inquisitive. They will be happy, welladjusted people-some rich, some poor, but all successful in their own way.

Mr. Fay: I see them all being highly technical math and science majors. Ninety percent will have Phd's.

Dr. Bakaly: [I make a difference by] broadening my students understanding of humanity and [giving them] the ability to help others and make life decisions. My students, in fifteen years, will hopefully be active members of their communities, fulfilling dreams of their own.They will be giving back to society by raising their own kids and learning what it is like to be an adult and parent.

Mrs. Hillinck: I hope that I'm making it easier for them to understand. I can't say where I'll see my students in fifteen years because it depends on who they are.

Mr. Hillinck: Am I supposed to answer this comically or seriously?

Mr. Feldmeth: Having personal interaction with kids on a daily basis, I see our seniors as presenting healthy challenges to society in lots of different ways.

Well, guys, here it is- the book you've all been waiting for. After many months of hard work, several 20+ hour weekends, and those way too early 7 a.m. meetings, we finally did it.

Oak.leaves '92 "Polyvision" is 232 pages long and was published by Taylor Publishing Co. in Dallas Texas Our Publishing Representative was Corey Mundwiler.

The cover was created with a two color

We hope that we have captured the year well and that you enjoyed this year's new features, including column layout, 8 page gatefold, the calendar, an t the index. Lastly, we would just like to say Thank you Poly, you will always be part of our vision!

lithocote process using cutout black and white photos in sunrise red halftones. All pages, including the gatefold, are 100 lb. white enamel paper. The endsheets are coral/salmon recycled stock. All section dividers are in 40% spot color.

The opening divider is super blue, the student life divider brilliant purple, the sports divider pantone green jade, and the candids divider brilliant red.

Layout and copy were done on Macintosh computers with Aldus

PageMaker. Most copy is in 12 pt. Galliard, with section titles in varios sizes Badoni bold and Brush Script bold. Advertisements are in variou . fonts and sizes.
