As I looked up at the sky A dark rain drop caught my eye “Is it raining dark mists now?”
I asked my friend with an arched eyebrow Little did we know it was the Taal Volcano Emitting ashes to our fellow Filipino
Who would have known that the dark mists we saw, Already brought terror from which our fellows withdraw?
At the moment, no one could possibly tell.
As I listen to the news, one starry night I heard about the virus that conveys a serious plight I was not bothered by this news
My gaze was at the stars, totally amused. I noticed I was gazing for so long Then I realized we are on quarantine that keeps getting prolonged. When will this pandemic end? Are we applying enough preventive measures for this to mend?
From this moment, no one could possibly tell.
As I read the daily gazette Another tragedy made me upset A 6.6 magnitude earthquake left the people of Masbate terrified
Loss of families and properties caused them to be petrified Who would have thought that such an early morning Could be a painful and endless mourning?
At that moment, no one could possibly tell.
As I comfortably settled myself during the rainy days Peeking through the window only to see heavy weather haze I thought about the people who met Quinta, Rolly and Ulysses
It was not a nice meeting that everyone can guess Even pluviophiles hated the rain once in their life Finding no peace in the violent rainfall, adoration ending in strife
Severe flooding with the pandemic made it even worse It felt like this year blessed everyone with different curse Who could have foresee The tremendous damage of 2020 with zero visibility?
At that moment, no one could possibly tell.
There will be no realization without devastation There should be concealing before any revelation To reminisce in hindsight is the only thing we can do
Making us understand what had happened in a different point of view It may either heal us or break us even more But it is the only way that ourselves can be restored
“The only thing we could possibly tell at the moment is to live as if it is the last time.
So that we can do the least thing we can do; reminisce.”
