Chamei á miña nai para facerlle unha pregunta e a conversación resultou ter a estrutura dunha posible película. Ao xuntar as súas palabras cuns materiais en 16 mm e uns carretes de fotos vellos que un amigo cubano pedírame revelar, as imaxes empezaron a arder e a súa ignición propiciou preguntas sobre que son os recordos, como se arquivan e se preservan, e cales se esfuman sen deixar pegada. I called my mother with a very specific question, and the conversation ended up having the structure of a potencial film. When blending her words with some old 16mm footage and some photography rolls a cuban friend had asked me to develop, the images started to burn, and their ignition posed questions about the nature of memories, how do we archive and preserve them, and which ones vanish without leaving a trace.
