Cuts of light, suspended spaces, plastic virtuosity: the SPEECH studio project is a succession of opposing elements, used with the aim of transferring the experience of a dynamic space, never the same or banal, starting with the design of the façade. The architects, Sergei Tchoban and Igor Chlenov, break down the volume as if it were a rough diamond, sculpting significant parts of it, finding the point of balance between form and material. The project covers an area of almost three hectares and consists of three main bodies for residential, office and commercial use. The framework, conceived as a honeycomb, conceals the vertical partitions and floors, while the geometric matrix of the rhombus contains four levels for each module. A total of 17 levels united in the geometric envelope, the result of design in close collaboration between the architects and leading manufacturers. In particular, the technological glass together with the structural system, cooperate in defining this complex which integrates perfectly into its context, dialoguing with the architectural and urban tradition of the neighbourhood in which it stands. Tagli di luce, spazi in sospensione, virtuosismo plastico: il progetto dello studio SPEECH è un susseguirsi di elementi opposti, usati con lo scopo di trasferire l’esperienza di uno spazio dinamico, mai uguale o banale, a partire dal disegno di facciata. Gli architetti, Sergei Tchoban e Igor Chlenov, scompongono il volume come fosse un diamante grezzo, scolpendone parti significative, trovando il punto di equilibrio tra forma e materia. L’intervento insiste su un’area di quasi tre ettari e vede la realizzazione di tre corpi principali destinati rispettivamente a residenza, uffici e spazi commerciali. L’ossatura, concepita come un nido d’ape, nasconde le partizioni verticali e i solai, mentre, la matrice geometrica del rombo, contiene quattro livelli per ciascun modulo. Un totale di 17 piani uniti nell’involucro geometrico, effetto di una progettazione in stretta collaborazione tra gli autori e aziende produttrici leader nel settore. In particolare, il vetro tecnologico accanto al sistema strutturale cooperano nella definizione di questo complesso che si integra perfettamente nel contesto, dialogando con la tradizione architettonica e urbanistica del quartiere in cui sorge.
