FLEET COMMITTEE NEWS
BY: TIM HARBICK, REAR COMMODORE
As fall colors are now upon us, we enjoy cautious boating on the lake with cool temperatures, fair winds and light traffic. Keep a careful eye out for flotsam and wear plenty of sunscreen.
The October Pirate Treasure Hunt is an annual favorite for the children and did not disappoint this year. What a great success with nearly 100 registrants! A big thank you to the PTH Team!!
December will bring us the rescheduled Peninsula Cup Sailing Regatta on the 6th –8th and the Blood Drive on the 14th – come on out and join us for both!
And rest assured, your PYC Fleet Committee is already hard at work on 2025 events!

SAILING SCENE
Fall Winds are a Blowin'
Due to local guidance and with our focus on safety we postponed our biggest sailing event, the 32nd Pen Cup Regatta, because of the condition of Lake Norman right after hurricane Helene. Luckily the rest of this fall season looks to be dry and sunny, and we rescheduled the 32nd Pen Cup Regatta starting with a Member Mixer starting on December 6th.
Our plan is to execute to the same schedule and agenda as originally planned the weekend of December 6-8, 2024. To see who is racing from the our club or to register for the event go to www.regattanetwork.com/ event/27717
We look forward to a very exciting weekend of sailing. If you want to learn about our crew or volunteer opportunites for this or for future events, please contact me via email, markalancook@yahoo.com
Lastly, wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving!
To fair winds and following seas, Tim Harbick
Rear Commodore
