What Is The Galaxy Of Our Universe Made Of?
Volume I: We do know that God created the whole structure of our universe, everything in our solar system and even beyond. It is a complex large structure with planets and our sun and moon that we need to sustain life. There are 3 realms our scientists have learned. First we have our atmosphere, the air we breathe classed as our first Heaven which includes our sky, clouds and the air we breathe. The range is about 7 miles above the earth. The second realm is the stratosphere ranging from 7-15 miles above the earth. It has an almost constant temperature at all altitudes. The third realm is the ionosphere, the outer part of the earth’s structure consisting of changing layers of heavily ionized molecules. Genesis 8:2 tells us that following the flood over the earth, the windows of Heaven were stopped and the rain from Heaven was restrained. Our next one stratosphere is the realm of our planets, stars and the galaxy. Psalm 19:1 tells us that the Heavens declare God’s glory and the firmament of his work. We now have a great High Priest who passed through the channels to Heaven who is Jesus Christ. He is higher than the Heavens through his creation. We finally come to our ionosphere classed as the third Heaven, God’s throne and beyond. This sphere is way beyond our earth, past the galaxies and far above Satan’s realm principalities and powers. It is the Heaven of Heavens. Lucifer, before his name was changed to Satan, boasted that he would ascend above the clouds and stars of God. The Bible, Ezekiel 1:4 – 28:12-19 and Habakkuk speaks of Heaven as being up from the earth and North from the same direction from every point on this earth. The third Heaven (God’s Kingdom) is where Apostle Paul was lifted and he called it paradise. Paul was so overwhelmed by what he saw and heard that God gave him a thorn in his flesh so he would not be exalted above measure through his revelations. Folks don’t it seem strange that people or cultists say they make trips to Heaven and see visions of the celestial when God did not even let Paul speak about it? God has given us, in his word, all he wants us to know about Heaven. The Heaven of God far above the planets and galaxies, is the Heavenly City, spoke about in the book of Revelations. This is the final destination of all whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. This Book of Life is very important folks because if our names are not in there we have no chance to see Heaven. The only alternative is we will face judgment and Hell. I will continue with this message next week. Thank you.

Good Ole Boys
After lunch we took the racks with wheels out to the isles and started putting the groceries out of the boxes onto the shelves. We had a print out that told us how long that would take. Don’t forget to rotate the assistant manager would come by and tell us. I got pretty good at stocking shelves. Two hands was the preferred method. Soon I had that down pat. I could stock with the best of them. If all the stuff that came in the box couldn’t go on the shelf, then you had to write the order number on the side with a black marker and put it back on the racks with wheels. When you had put all the groceries up that would go up, you rolled the rack back to the back room. This went on day after day. One of the best parts was that when it got busy up front you were called up to help bag groceries. Yep, that was fun. I would ask every customer if they needed help taking the groceries to their car. It didn’t take too many times and you found out why all the stock boys would hurry up and go to the front when called. If you were real nice and carried the groceries out to the cars, the customer would give you a tip. Sometimes a quarter, sometimes a dollar. And soon you knew which ones gave the dollars. I was in Sebring about 3 months and I was able to pay my rent with my tip money. Oh yea, you could make that kind of money if you were nice enough and yes ma’am and no ma’am came in real handy. Life was good. I met a lot of new people and became friends with several of them. Oh yea, living large at 18 years old, how could life be any better. On my own. This was great. My own apartment, my own job and having a nice paycheck was making it even better. But then my supervisor came in one Friday and said, the Lake Placid store was ready to open! Then, later that day my buddy that got me this job, Gary Smith, called me and said he was looking for a place to live because he was to start Tuesday with me. This was a Friday. George W. Beard, age 52, went home to be with the Lord on April 5th at 3:35am in Arcadia, FL. George was born May 1, 1964 in Sebring, FL to the late Albert and Alice Beard. At the age of 2 his family moved to Arcadia where he resided for the past 50 years. He was a graduate of Arcadia Christian Center class of 1982. Upon graduation, George was employed at North Side Shell which he later became the owner of renaming it George's Highway Shell. He then worked at the Desoto County School District in various capacities for 19 years before retiring as the Associate Director of Facilities in 2016. George enjoyed sharing his love for Jesus with others, riding his Harley, rooting for the Miami Dolphins and his favorite Nascar driver Dale Earnhardt Jr, as well as spending time with his children and grandchildren. George was a devout Christian and an active, faithful member of First Baptist Church of Arcadia. George's community charitable passions included Upward Sports, Kairos Prison MInistry, First Baptist Church Bus Ministry, choir member, and Brotherhood. George was the Captian for the Beard's Battalion Relay for Life Team, a board member for the Drug Free Desoto Coalition, as well as a board member Desoto County's Project Graduation. George was a coach for DCYAA football, baseball, basketball, softball, and Upward soccer and basketball as well as a coach for DHS softball and baseball. George was a past member of Arcadia Moose Lodge and Moose Riders. George is survived by his beloved wife Bonnie Beard, his daughters Amanda Byrd, Farren Grimes, and his son Brandon (Michaela) Beard all of Arcadia, his brother Donald (Linda) Beard of Inverness, Wayne Beard, and Ronnie Beard all of Arcadia, six grandchild Laci Grimes, Trey Grimes, Noah Perez, Kaili Grimes, Finley Fitzpatrick, and Benjamin Beard. George was proceed in death by his brother Albert "Butch" Beard and sister Diane Tyson. Celebration of Life services will be held at First Baptist Church of Arcadia on Sunday, April 9th at 4pm with visitation at 3pm. (1006 North Brevard Ave, Arcadia, FL 34266) The services will be officiated by Pastor Dwight Powell and Pastor Matthew Clayton. In lieu of floral arrangements please make donations to the Arcadia Tidwell Hospice House (919 North Arcadia Ave, Arcadia, FL 34266).

Robert “Bob” Clement Edwards, 71 of Arcadia passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, at Florida Hospital in Orlando, FL. April 5, 2017. Born in Arcadia on June 8, 1945 to Doyle and Leila Edwards. He graduated from DeSoto County High School in 1963 and to the amazement of his three brothers, was voted “Best Looking” in his Senior Class. After college he returned to Arcadia and spent the next forty seven years becoming the premier painter for the contractors, McCorquodale, Gunter, Carlton and Frierson. Bob was a kind and generous helper who loved to fish and take various fruits and vegetables to all his friends. He had a great sense of humor, sharpened by hanging with a group of social deviates that cooked for all the Rodeo functions. He is survived by three daughters, Regina (John) Weiler, Tina O’Neil, and Melissa Edwards. One sister, Judy (David) Osborne, three brothers, Doyle (Irene) Edwards, Alan (Karen) Edwards and Steven (Jeanie) Edwards. Eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia and daughter, Cheryl. There will be a memorial service at the Seventh Day Adventist Church on Highway31 on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. In honor of “Bob” feel free to wear a white tee shirt for the memorial service. Frank R. Jacox 81, of Arcadia, Florida passed away on Friday April 7, 2017 at his residence. Frank was a door greeter at Walmart for many years where both he and his wife worked. He was born on October 27, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio and has been a resident of Arcadia for the last 30 years. Frank enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling and most of all spending time with his grandchildren and family. Frank attended Arcadia 1st Baptist Church He is survived by his wife Bonnie, two sons; Johnny (Betty) Vilardo of Dunn NC and Billy Vilardo of Arcadia, FL. Daughter; Laura Bowers of Arcadia, FL. Edna Pearl Mercer, 92 passed away peacefully Tuesday evening in Arcadia, FL. She was born on January 4, 1925 in Nocatee to the late Broward B. and Mabel Suggs Markham. Edna was a lifetime resident of Desoto County. Edna was of the Baptist faith. Edna was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be sorely missed by all. Edna enjoyed family gatherings and loved cooking and canning for everyone. She is survived by two sons Ronald “Ronnie” (Vickie) Mercer and Dennis (Kathy Rusch) Mercer all of Arcadia, FL.; one daughter Brenda (Ken) Barnes of Arcadia, FL., son n law William "Bill" Day; one sister Eudine McLeod and one brother Ellis (Dot) Markham of Gainesville, FL.; eleven grandchildren Jeff Mercer, Tonya Nott, John Mercer, William Day, Karmen Sasser, Leslie Roe, Bryan Clemons, Sharon Gray, Brandi Mercer and Brandon Mercer; fifteen greatgrandchildren James, Jr., Adam, Savannah, James, Samantha, Ben, Chole, Gracen, Evan, Aiden, Owen, Matthew, Christian, Austin, Emma, Taylor and Logan; four great-greats D.J, Landon, Logan and Bryar; numerous nieces and nephews. Edna was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Adam Francis Mercer, parents, son James Francis Mercer, daughter Linda Faye Day and grandson Matthew Day. Eugene H. Turner Sr., a DeSoto County icon, age 92, passed peacefully at his home in Arcadia, FL. Gene was born June 19, 1924 in Arcadia to the late John and Virginia (Moore) Turner. He was a graduate of DeSoto County High School, Class of 1942. He was an Entrepreneur, having succeeded in the areas of Citrus Production, Cattle Ranching, and Real Estate Brokerage. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Army. Gene enjoyed a full, rich life and loved his family more than anything. In his free time, Gene was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed offshore fishing and hunting. He lived his entire life in Arcadia and called it "God's Country." Gene was a devout Christian and a faithful member of Pine Level United Methodist Church.
