Learn how to spin as a mindfulness practice or to produce yarn for fibre projects. You will learn how a spinning wheel works and how the features of the wheel can affect your spinning. This class will cover fibre choice and preparation, drafting styles, basic techniques for spinning and plying and finishing yarns for various uses. This class is suitable for students new to the practice and those with some experience. Supplies included. Spinning wheels are available for at-home practice; equipment loans require a deposit.
